Now we know why Kirby was faking extra points in the scrimmages. He sucks.

Kirby has done a great job overall so far and that should continue.

Your source is wrong!

He may start week 1; but that will only be because JTD is not cleared. DM is extremely raw and way to inexperienced to be this years starter.

He isn’t cleared? Meansonny has been going on and on for pages that JTD is cleared to play and everything is good to go.

He won't be cleared until just before the Arkansas game.

Per the situational work from saturday, he is moving great. The knee isnt a concern before or after practice.

Nah, Shark humper got UF to two sec championship games...

That is undeniably a better place.

The teams Florida has put on the field the last two years and the one they have this year would whip those two easily. Not saying those teams were bad, but I am saying they have recruited for need very well the last couple of years.

I'm not sure Mullen will ever turn into a great recruiter, but if Florida can turn the corner and win the east the recruiting will take care of itself.

Just my honest opinion.

That's subjective, making the sec title game twice is objective.

Just curious how to pronounce this, is it like swan or something that doesn't follow standard pronunciation rules like Dwayne or Dee-Wan or Da-Wayne? TIA.

Newman was an ACC QB who looked mediocre at best, JT Daniels was an okay Freshman who has had a bum knee for a long time now. I just think it's pretty funny that they literally tried to get whoever they could to not start Dwan Mathis.

Actually Mathis wasn’t cleared to play until after both Newman and Daniels were already on the roster.

Hard to tell these days!

I have heard Kirby Smart say it just like it is spelled, though.

Dwan or like Dwahn. Sure wish kids could be named Billy, Bobby or Robert, though. It would be much easier.

Georgia needs to pick and go with it. Their schedule is front loaded. New system and two very different QBs competing spells disaster.

Agree to disagree. The schedule is front loaded. But we tell the QBs that they can come in and compete. What does it say if we make a decision 1 week into practice after no spring? All competing QBs got a chance with the 1s during the scrimmages. Kirby walks the talk.

The other part that no one talks about is that we need 2 QBs ready, anyway. Football isnt going to stop if QB1 gets covid. Or QB1 has a roommate with covid. Or QB1 gets injured. That is how we found success in 2017. QB2 was ready. I presume that Florida does the same thing.

We will see how it plays out.
The excitement over Newman was that his best attributes were our worst in 2019.
The excitement over Daniels is that he is Stafford 2.0.
The excitement over Mathis is that he has better tangibles than Daniels and Newman.

The staff is looking for 2 things. Who moves the ball? Who brings explosive plays? I dont think the staff knows who that is yet. I think Danniels is ahead right now (60-40) due to familiarity with the system. But I still have the odds at 50-50 over the next 3 weeks between Daniels and Mathis.

Mathis wasn’t cleared

Not really accurate...

DM was fully cleared May 28 2020 After MRI
And was already cleared in February 2010 for spring practice.
JTD Enter red portal on Aril 16th and chose UGA on May 28th the same day Mathis was cleared. However, JTD didn’t get Waiver until July 13.

Outside of of JTD unable to physically go, DM won’t start this year, but will get slot of experience as a package guy and primary backup.
