Their last football co-conference was in 1969. Fans can’t expect much

I don’t get the Auburn dig myself….but that’s a funny picture. I hope Auburn rebounds now. And believe they will. They have always been my favorite SEC team outside of Ole Miss. Watched them under Dye than Bowden etc.

Apparently winning that opt out bowl against Ohio State was their greatest postseason win in decades.

He's the new and enshittified version of Dan Mullen.

He beats up and bad teams and loses to anyone w/a pulse.

Drink is a more steady Houston Nutt.

He’s just the SEC’s James Franklin

A steady coach is a good thing. Arkansas has had John L. Smith having a nervous breakdown, Bert getting drunk, Chad Morris as a panic hire, and a career position coach as a second panic hire.

Man, Petrino pulled a Chernobyl on y’all. The hogs were rolling and then suddenly everything became radioactive and nothing can grow for 2 decades.
I’d much rather have a good Arkansas program, I’ve always loved our rivalry.

Mizzou beat 5-5 LSU in Covid Year, #23 South Carolina 4-4 in 2022 and should have beat #1 Georgia, still can't believe we lost that game. In 2023 only 5 SEC teams were over .500 in conference games and 1 of them was Mizzou. They only played 2, and if we're not for Jaylen Daniels we would have beaten LSU. Mizzou had wins over 4-4 #17 Tennessee, and wins over 3-5 Auburn, Florida, South Carolina and Kentucky. 2024 Mizzou was one of 8 teams that finished above .500 in conf, Mizzou played 3 and if Mizzou had beaten either one of them, those teams would have finished 4-4 instead of 5-3. 2025 If the Bama QB didn't play like Joe Montana on 4th down late in the game and Pribula could hit his wide open WR Marquis Johnson late in that game we could have won that game, but lose 27-24. We fall at a 1/2 yard short of tying or going for the win at Vandy after losing starting QB. Hell we played OU tough on the road with Pribula playing at like 60%. It's not like you play a lot of teams with winning conference records every year.

That’s a lot of what ifs.

Drink is better than Nutt.

He already has two 10 win seasons, that is more than Nutt ever had.

I believe Petrino will do a better job at North Carolina than what he did at Arkansas.

1. A lot of you don't appreciate how bad Mizzou had it for the majority of the past 50 years. A steady coach who seems to have about an 8-4 baseline is fine by me.

2. With the SEC as deep and talented as it is, there isn't room for half the conference to be Saban's Alabama. At least we know what we are at this point in time. Mizzou is paying for consistency and rewarding his loyalty.

3. Half the conference (some wouldn't admit it) would be happy to trade for a guy who has a 29-10 over the past three seasons, including finishing #9 three years ago and #19 two years ago.
