Missouri - There is no bad blood between Texas and Missouri imo. They left the Big 12 because they were afraid of getting left out of the dance, not because of Big Bad Texas. They preferred the Big 10.

You’ve no clue WTF you’re talking about. Mizzou loathes Texas wankers.

Texas leaked it, I would bet.

They dropped this nugget right before Jimbo hit the podium at Media Days

Screw Texas. Don’t want the team or their fans in the SEC. They screwed up the Big 12 and now want to move to the SEC like a bunch of locusts. Let them die of their own arrogance in the big* 12.

It just came out that A&M/MZ would both be a hard no. It also came out that OkSU at the minimum would fight such a move in the state of Oklahoma

Don't get me started on what Texas would have to deal with. Remember that A&M could not even be extended an invitation until the politics were taken care of?

It won't be any different here. Other than A&M/MZ won't abstain like Vanderbilt did. They will simply say no, and get two more votes to block any possibility

What’s funny is if it has legs it’s probably bc the Big 12 got left out of the playoffs last year and started making calls

The timing is suspect, the fact it was reported minutes before Jimbo took the stand, bc if they don’t join it’s gonna cause a lot of negative recruiting, if like half the SEC say no, then what’s the narrative to counter negative recruiting? Will they say it was all Aggie fault bc we were scared? Will they say the SEC is scared to let them join? Jimbo at least spun it back using to say that’s proof the SEC is better

Missouri remembers what it is to deal with Texas. So does Arkansas, and a host of other schools

As mentioned in another thread I would think A&M, Mizzou, & Mayb Arkansas are NOs. So if your Sankey or a YES AD trying to convince the maybe/maybe not voters? Do you just show them the potential TV deal?

People will say Texas is trying to better themselves.

The amount of giddiness/cucking being done by LSU fans for Texas since this news broke is...strange...and also sad.

Beating Texas and then winning a Natty and only two years later... cucking up to Texas

Absolutely LSU is a no vote.

I agree. Woodward is a no having been A&M AD. Only way he goes yes is if he can maneuver some political win for supporting Sankey.

You might add South Carolina and Georgia. Georgia Tech and Clemson will be knocking on that door too.

I don't think UGA cares about Tech.

But UGA might leverage a no vote to get pods instead of moving Alabama and Auburn to the East.

Don’t forget that the university presidents, not the ADs make this decision and vote. So all of these sports driven views pushed by fans more than likely will have very little impact to the university presidents views on this.

Once the SEC added A&M and Mizzou, the genie had be let out of the proverbial bottle regarding adding schools and this being a local or regional boys club.

Most LSU fans don’t really care, the giddiness you speak of is actually snickers watching you Aggies shite yourself at the possibility of your daddy coming back. You’re going to be like a kid with 2 daddies a stepchild to the horns and LSU.

In answer to why Mizzou would vote no: because Texas screwing up the Big 12 is one of the reasons the Tigers left the conference. In the SEC, Alabama may rule on the field, but for the most part it appears all the schools have a say in its direction. In the original Big 12 before the four teams left, Texas treated the conference like its own private fiefdom. I know many SEC fans wish that Mizzou wasn't let in, but at least our school doesn't cause trouble. Texas is a virus and you don't let viruses into your system.
