LSU is about where they should be... 9-10 wins a year, with occasional runs of more. People need to realize those runs aren't every year and aren't guaranteed to happen. We need several things to align to do it... we need the defense to be strong at the same time the offense is potent.

Everyone rags on Kelly, but he has the program back in the healthy range again. The offense has been good, we need the defense to step up.

Yes because they have the best coach in the country. If LSU got Kirby Smart, they MIGHT be, but we know what Georgia looks like with him.

There's only one P4 school in Louisiana.

Georgia has 2.

Following along with your argument, Georgia has more than triple the amount of 4 and 5 star recruits that Louisiana does so having two P4 schools in state doesn't matter.

I was kind of surprised when I first learned that Clemson and Athens are only 78 miles apart.

LA is a pretty small and poor state. I'd say Texas is diluted, but they are the only top tier option and get their pick of the litter in a huge state. Georgia is too, I don't think many recruits are picking GT over UGA.

Just looking at things logically here: They're the only big dog in a talent rich state.

You have the results right in front of your noggin. Why do you bring this up in terms of "potential"? LSU has been playing football for over 100 years in the state of LA.

If they were ever going to take advantage of this playground exclusively, they should have. As you rightly stated, NIL is here, and Kelly is having to go extensively to the portal with check in hand to find difference makers. What's that all about?

Put that in your "potential" theory.

I can already see LSU is going to be another one of the Aggie roller coaster schools.

Especially in today's NIL.

Right on time. Here it is June and click-click-click... climbing to the top.

LSU actually wins championships from time to time.

In terms of talk and no titles recently, your program is much closer to Aggie behavior than LSU.

I'd say Texas & A&M w/ the money available at those schools

Ahh, the good ol' days. That's why this NIL thing will take time to register with you baws.

But for now, keep on clicking to the top of the mini-mine train.

By your criteria it’d be Georgia by a landslide

I know that it's not necessarily an easy thing to believe on the outside looking in, but LSU didn't really start putting real resources into football dedicated to winning championships until 2000. Before, the administration was just fine winning 7 or 8 games and turning a profit. Obviously an oversimplification.
