Does every school have Head Coach #2?

If a HC has to quarantine, who coaches your team? I assume Steele would be Auburn’s, but I would hate to take him out of the booth.

But Dan Lanning is the heir apparent in the program.

If I had to pick 1, it would be Lanning.

I imagine it would be handled the same way as any interim coach after the head coach is fired or has a scandal. As in it would be decided off the cuff
