I don't think the Superdome can accommodate baseball any more, not after its post-Katrina renovations.
It wasn't that good of a baseball facility anyway when it did try to host baseball in the '70s and '80s.

Zephyr Field has been pretty much dormant since the minor league team left, so it would probably take some serious cash to get it back in running order.

I used to be for a rotation, until I attended one year. Hoover was badass.

I understand the baseball should not be played indoors, but with 4 games played in each of the first 3 days of the tournament, the rain and fog don’t always cooperate in Hoover.

Remember some of those LSU rain delays and the fog delay vs Miss St and vs Florida? Games ending in the middle of the night and then a team or both teams have to play the next day gives the opponent in the next day’s game an advantage.

This would not happen with a closed roof stadium.

No, that’s to far west. I think moving it to that minor league ball park in Memphis would be better.

The only thing I would like about moving it to Globe Life Field is that there's a roof. I think it's past time that as many conferences that can possibly do it, move their tournaments to a venue with a roof.

Because, in these tournaments, you have a hard deadline to get all the games in by Sunday, and that means that weather can literally decide a team's postseason fate, if all games cannot be played. That should never happen.

Superdome is not a realistic option anymore due to how they renovations have made the seating more fixed.

Zephyr is in talks to get a renovation to more of a football/soccer format. They seem to be giving up getting another Minor league team.

I'm not a huge fan of putting the tournament in a 40K MLB stadium, either.

I would support moving it around the conference, to the larger minor league stadiums in decent cities.

Prior to expansion, I always thought they should move it to Memphis. Autozone park is a nice venue, Memphis was centrally located (probably more so than any other city), and there is a better mix of SEC fans in Memphis (pretty even between Ole Miss, MSU, UT, Arkansas, Bama, and LSU).

If not, maybe Memphis but as much as I hate the Gumps, Hoover makes some sense geographically.

Several decades ago Memphis could have been the central Mecca of the US. Instead Northwest disbanded, Delta pulled out after a quickie, and the factories that the Memphis infrastructure was built around were abandoned.

What could have been for not just SEC baseball but Memphis as a whole. The airport hub that is ATL, that was suppose to be Memphis.

Right. I feel that way as well. That's why I would not support it.

I don't think I want it on college campuses... but stadiums in the 8K - 20K range would be good.

Wish it would rotate to First TN park in Nashville where the AAA Sounds play. It’s a first class “close to the action” AAA style stadium perfect for the SEC Conderence level crowds. Add to that the fun of Music City. It a better choice in the SE.

Would be cool to see it rotate to different SEC parks, but logistically that would never happen.

New Nashville Sounds stadium in Nashville would be perfect.

I love the Sounds stadium. Been to a few games there, and always thought the firm that designed Dudy Noble got some inspiration from them. Both have that "sunk field", the round collection area in right, and 360 concourse.

Damn right it would. It has my vote. Only thing Biloxi is missing to make that a great trip is a beach.

This x 1000!!!!

It's pathetic and unacceptable that it is at that dump every year. And it's lazy by the SEC since it's 10 min from the SEC offices. Move the freaking thing around so other people besides gumps can experience that tournament.
