Luke Tucker just posted his LSU locker on his IG story so I guess that means he’ll be a tiger next season

Tucker will make it to campus permanently but plenty of kids have moved into school and signed pro a week later.
Shane Brinham (LHP from Michigan) has committed to Vanderbilt, per his Instagram.

Larson has been tied to Cain for a long time Committed to LSU when Cain was still on staff Wonder if he follows him to aggies

For starters, he stinks. So I doubt he’s getting a chance at a 3rd SEC school. Quite frankly, he would be doing himself a disservice to continue trying to pose as an SEC baseball player.

He also has a connection with Dan Fitzgerald and is from Kansas City. I’d be shocked if he isn’t at Kansas or Kansas St.
It has to be the extra leverage because I don’t really see the actual leverage without the 5/5. Yes, he’s provided with a “choice” to return to school but is it really leverage? Turning down $3.5MM+ to go sign an NIL deal worth $300k and risk injury doesn’t seem like much leverage to me.
You guys need to stop assuming their desire to come back is based on draft position. It’s purely about leverage and dollars.

If he comes back, it’s purely about his love for playing for LSU and winning another title.

If so, they will need to fine the strike zone more than they did just year

That’s some wisdom right there! Wow!
We are after several relievers. They also believe in a lot of the talent that’s in the room and I think that’s a solid bet. A better defense will significantly improve the pitching also.

Anyone dreaming of an elite Friday guy coming from the portal should give up, there’s not a single arm in the portal that fits that. It is not flush with elite talent but there are some good relievers

I think Braun could still go to OF.

We have not pursued any first baseman in the portal. So I’d say we’re keeping him at 1B unless will Adams or Santarelli make it through.
My favorite number is 21 doubles last year

Agreed, average is great, but I’d also think he would need to improve a bit on power getting to double digits. Just watching the stats of some of these guys at Georgia and others in the CWS.

“Just based on stats for these Georgia guys” ok? Lol LSU won a title 12 months ago without having crazy power numbers 1-9. UGA is an anomaly, not the norm. Slug is more than homers. You forget they play at a launching pad at home. They recruit guys that play to their park. It’s not mandatory someone hit 15+ homers to have success in Omaha. We literally just proved it last year.

Some of you make comments as if this is your first year watching teams play.
I’m watching Michigan LHP Shane Brinham closely. Has followed Jordan, Braun, and Milam recently. He also just followed Jonah Aase. Brinham is from Vancouver in Canada. Aase is from NW Washington and their hometowns are 45 miles apart. Could be something. Could be nothing…but I’m watching.
Because there’s better OF options than 1B options.
quote:

Curiel is youngest in this draft class and wants $4 million bonus Milam wants $1.5 That’s very aggressive

Curiel will get $4MM in his sleep. It’s actually a conservative number, not aggressive. That’s the slot value for the 23rd overall pick and he just got mocked 8th overall which has a $6.9MM slot. If he gets picked 8th, he has to get at least $3.4MM by rules. It will be closer to $5MM.

The portal (at least to me) seems to be way deeper with options in the OF. If you like Braun at 1B, then it makes sense to just be in the OF market instead of moving him to pick up a 1B.

Nah bud - look at that billboard in right field it has more that 2 years listed. We built a program on recruiting and filled spots on transfers. Yall want it to be transfer dependent I’m simply saying we don’t have to be and using an example that nobody is talking about to make my case

The only thing generational in this thread is your lack of intelligence and reading comprehension. Nobody has said to rely solely on transfers. You are just making stuff up to help make your thread look less stupid.

Actually nobody has said that. We’ve all said we want both. YOU made this a “this or that” conversation in your first post. Don’t be upset becuase we didn’t agree. So if you are looking for someone to blame for the direction of the conversation, I suggest looking in the mirror.

Btw, it was one year. We’ve won two titles with the help of transfers before. People really seem to keep forgetting that.

The kid didn’t have a good senior season - he hit .520 while throwing 95 from the left side - that’s generational

Generational lol relax dude. Good player but he’s not generational lord

Nawrocki isn’t pitching in the rotation next year, even if he makes it to campus. So that would make this a moot point.

And if we’re “ranking” them then Nawrocki is not ahead of Hood as far as rotation potential next season.

This entire comparison or competition is extremely stupid.

Nah that was stupidass comment. You don’t deserve an answer after that foolery.
Anybody heard anything on Hotchkiss? It’s been pretty silent across the board. It’s also been pretty silent on Wachs after initial reports of Miami, UF, and LSU.
Not every former player that succeeds elsewhere needs to be brought back. Some of yall are special.
