Something we might say to one another when shooting the shite, but not something you should probably say live on the air. It’s just not very smart. Yeah, everyone gets it, but it’s mixed company, and he should have known better than to say something like that on the air.

Has anyone ever explained the reason the gymnast compete in swim suits? Would it hurt their performance to wear shorts?
That’s a serious question. The leotard, or whatever it’s called, seems to cover less and less each year. What is the purpose of that?

It's not a matter of agreeing. I wouldn't have said it (because of the predictability of the response) but why should we have to pretend we don't notice. Reminds me of the broadcaster who commented on McCarron's girlfriend. The hypocrisy is mind boggling. Why do you think they wear the scanty outfits in cheerleading, Dance Line, etc.? In gymnastics, there may be a reason for the skin tightness but they could still cover a bit more.

I never notice the scantily-clad women as they perform and I certainly don't lust after them. However, after the meet, I do enjoy sniffing the plastic chairs where the girls were seated.

Barry Booker should not be fired for this. He should be fired for being a really bad broadcaster, which he has been for years.

Apparently he’s tired of broadcasting.

Mostly for safety reasons.
You don't want clothes getting caught on equipment. Also, hands/fingers can get caught with clothes. Same with the volleyball shorts if you can call it that.
Also, coaches/judges are able to see lines of the bodies in regards of the flips and technique.

This thread is WORTHLESS without pix...
I don't care what anyone says, those are some cute little girls. (I'm old enough to be their grandfather, I can refer to them as "little girls" if I want to.)

If you can't see how bad that sounds, particularly in a professional situation, you are so far out of step with today that no one can help you.
He wasn't saying this to his buddies at the local pub but in a situation where he's broadcasting professionally and representing the SEC.

It was a bad thing to say for sure but let’s be honest some of those leotards are three sizes too small.

What ever happened with this? I haven’t noticed him lately but I tend to tune out the commentators a lot.

Yeah he's gone MIA. Definitely ruined his career.

Was definitely not a smart thing to say on air. Hope he can come back on air in time.
