Go hang out with the ladies,” Booker said, per KATV. “I want to go see some scantily clad girls.”

Said this during the Arkansas vs Mizzou basketball game after a gymnastics promo.

I dont see anything wrong with it myself. The SEC does not agree..He in hot water.

Not really something a broadcaster is supposed to say on national TV. This isn’t Barstool

He's a broadcaster. It's unprofessional.

No need for it.

Dude is in his 40s. You would think he would be mature enough to realize that probably shouldn’t be said.

How much of a dumbass do you gotta be to not filter your broadcast comments like that, especially in the wake of MSU? I mean...

Nothing wrong admiring some hot gymnastic women at the collegiate level, but honestly I can say I’m more focused on the athletic shite. They do some insane stuff.

Even if you agree with it you don't say that shite out loud. Did he say it on live TV?

I will defend Booker.

He had a card to read about women's gymnastics during live play during Arkansas/Missouri game.

The card was read and he added the two lines.

He would later apologize in the game. We talked about this in the gamethread and couldn't believe he had to apologize.

Yes, he did.

I think most men think the same way, but he shouldn't have said it on live TV. Crazy he would let something like that slip these days.

It is a creepy and predatory thing to say that has no place in any area of college athletics - even if it is a natural thing that men think.

It's not the thought itself that makes it bad. Most men have sexual thoughts about random women (or men; doesn't matter) - it's the lack of self-control and judgement that led him to think it was appropriate to say on a public broadcast that makes him a creepy frick.

Then you're as dumb as he is. He absolutely should have apologized for saying that stupid shite on TV.

Scum.
Even women would’ve been better.
The fact that some see nothing wrong with this is unsettling.

Please do better before you have any girls—or boys—of your own.

ETA: I want to rephrase my comment. I don’t know the guy. He may not be “scum,” but it was an unfortunate thing for him to say. We all mess up. Hopefully he regrets his words and has learned something from the experience.

Tacky as hell.

1) Mention to him that it’s tacky as hell.

2) Let him apologize.

3) Go back to acting like everyone isn’t painfully aware of the blatant eroticism and wink, wink, nudge, nudge attitude surrounding the young, scantily clad, fit chicks.

We should be at step 3.

Yeah that's pretty cringey. An apology is 100% warranted.

I watched the game yet completely missed this but I tend to tone the announcers out a lot.

Very stupid thing to say as a broadcaster. Kennedy (who i really like) was all over some Ron Jeremy talk the other night. It must be hornyville at the sec network.

I wish it was Jimmy Dyles who said what Booker said, I could support him getting in some hot water. And I really don’t know why, he’s a hog alum and I’ve tried to like him but he’s like a sweet potato to me- I just can’t like.
