Including awards in this discussion is dumb because Larry Coker, Ken Dorsey, Grant Delpit and Frazier all got the 2nd or highest award at their respective position and we all know how much of a turd the other 3 outside Delpit ended up being.

People always bring up how great Miami is from 2001 but only because of the roster they had that year in retrospect. If you want to dissect all these teams in the most simple way possible:

LSU beat a lot of top teams by slim margins and caught their stride late.

Miami beat an above average schedule by a lot except a team or 2.

Nebraska beat the shite out of everyone on their schedule but played the least amount of ranked teams. BUT, everyone of those ranked teams was in the top 10.

Nebraska still wins it looks like

I'd lean to the 2001 Miami team. They were loaded.
No wants to talk about how Sean Taylor and A bunch of those studs were freshman who didn’t play.

By the way I’m assuming your just a causal fan who didn’t watch the games.

Go back and watch their game vs Boston College and Virginia Tech and tell me again who they’re the greatest.

It’s not a discussion, it’s not an argument.

2019 LSU is the greatest college football team ever. Sorry it hurts so many feelings

Hard to say for sure if they were the best team of all time, their defense wasn't as dominant as a lot of other champions but they did have a damn good resume.

Furthermore, the goalpost, here is greatest team. Not the future of the talent.

Bingo.

People say Miami because of how the guys turned out in the NFL.

In college, it isn't close.

QB:
Joe Burrow: 6,039 total yards, 65 TD, 6 INT, (76%)
Ken Dorsey: 2,692 total yards, 23 TD, 9 INT, (57%)

RB:
Clyde Edwards-Helaire: 215 attempts, 1414 yards, 16 TD
Clinton Portis: 220 attempts, 1200 yards, 10 TD

WR/TE:
Jamar Chase: 84 catches, 1780 yards, 20 TD
Justin Jefferson: 111 catches, 1540 yards, 18 TD
Thad Moss: 47 catches, 570 yards, 4 TD

Andre Johnson: 37 catches, 682 yards, 10 TD
Kevin Beard: 25 catches, 409 yards, 2 TD
Jeremy Shockey: 40 catches, 519 yards, 7 TD

Dude. Being down 10 points in the national championship near halftime and an onside kick away from losing in Bryant Denny is not greatest team of all time. Neither is almost losing to Auburn or a barely ranked Texas. Don’t care what teams you played, Nebraska MURDERED EVERYONE THEY PLAYED.

Washington State was like, the lone exception but that was still a 2 TD win.

But... um... we aren't talking about their pro careers...
TBH, one day we might be doing just that as well. There will be anywhere from 12-15 guys drafted from LSU this year, 3 to 5 will be first round. There are alot of guys that were on the roster that will be drafted in future years like Stingley, Chase, Marshall, TDP, Emery, Shelvin, Stevens. Our team was loaded.

Lol being down 10 points? We won by 3 scores you stupid shite.

Onside away from Bama? We were a fake fluke snap and a Hail Mary away from being you by 20. See how that works dumbass?

I’ve never seen someone get so upset as you over another team. It’s ok little guy, Sabans not going anywhere. Unfortunately for you neither is O.

Now take that L and go sit in corner like a good little bitch. A1abana boy.
