Defending National Champions' 2026 schedule

This is a very typical B1G schedule. Imagine living in the midwest and constantly having to hear people talk about how amazing Indiana is for beating Purdue by 70 points. The cupcake schedules make it almost impossible to tell if a team is actually good until the playoffs.

I wouldn't crown Michigan as a good team yet. They've been amazingly dysfunctional lately.

All while we beat the absolute shite out of other WW1 trench warfare style. Hopefully iron sharpens iron this year and we’re back in our rightful place holding up a natty trophy at end of season.

Not saying their schedule is good, but this does look like 4 top 20 preseason teams in a 5 game stretch

If I look at Ole Miss schedule I see

LSU
Texas
UGA
OU

as top 20 teams

I think Ole Miss has more preseason top 10 teams but as we have seen recently, that doesn't mean a lot when the football is kicked lately.

Can you elaborate on why you think one schedule is good and one bad? I think a lot of CFB fans still see a name and just think that team is good. UF/Auburn/Missouri are not likely to be good this year. They could be, but they are not projected to be much better than Northwestern/Rutgers/Nebraska

Not only is the schedule complete garbage but they only have 4 road games.

Better than last year's. Schedule was awful last year; I think Indiana played six of the bottom seven teams in the B1G in the regular season. Excited to see Ohio State come to Bloomington. The OOC games are trash, for sure.

So ignore that they play 4 ranked teams in 5 games in the middle of the year completely?

I don't think where the games are matter as much as they are playing the games.

Again Ole Miss has a harder schedule, but I see just as many pre-season ranked teams on both schedules. If I am missing more ranked teams for Ole Miss tell me.

I hate to defend the sec but even when Auburn and Florida are "bad", their rosters are still full of nfl talent and they have hostile home environments if you have to play them on the road. Northwestern, Rutgers and Nebraska arent remotely close to the same ballpark when it comes to talent.

Other than that though you guys can keep crying about schedules, but until you start winning some of these head to head playoff matches against big ten teams, its really just cope.

The SEC is mid from top to bottom and it has been for the past 3 years.

You can blame it on schedule all you want but the big boys play in the big ten and that isn’t changing in the near future.

Outside of coaching and random luck such as turnovers, the skill of the players on the field is almost exclusively the only thing that determines who wins and loses.
