Cignetti will do good regardless of what the schedule is
He’ll just continue to stockpile 7th year senior transfers from mid-major teams at every position.
I can’t stand him but they’ll definitely have just as good of a shot this year like they did last year

This was a completely one off situation, I highly doubt Indiana ever sniffs this level ever again.

Injury report for Indiana was longer than Bama for Rose Bowl. In fact, the official injury report states “Alabama comes into the game healthier than they’ve been since September”
Just stop with this stuff. The game was 38-3. There was no version of either of those teams that wasn’t ending with Bama taking a beating.

I’m curious; when Saban was triple stacking blue chip players in every position, it was considered a competitive advantage right?
But now Cignetti is figured out production over potential is a true advantage, he’s in the wrong? Cignetti has one job-to win the whole damn thing. There is no trophy for: toughest SOS, made up recruiting rankings, for how your or old your roster is. His job is to win-I’d say he’s pretty damn good at it.

One off? Dude he’s lost 2 games in 2 years. And those were in the road to the 2 teams that played in the natty. No clue if they’ll repeat this year or not but do you guys actually believe this? Dude has never lost more than a couple games tops anywhere he’s coached.

Because lsu next 4 toughest opponents are light years ahead of Ohio state or Indianas 5-8

He definitely lost more than 2 games before.. Even at JMU. The guys entire strategy at Indiana was recruit his old players that are familiar with his system and experienced. The average starter on that roster was 23 years old. 17/22 starters were AT LEAST in their fourth year of college, quite a few of them were sixth-year seniors. He just got a bunch of old guys with a lot of experience and ran with it. It wasn't exactly coaching genius, it was just a roster with size and experience.
That is not going to happen again, especially since the majority of those guys are no longer eligible. I truly believe Mendoza is going to fail in the NFL as well, he is not gonna have the advantage that he did at Indiana.

Actually it’s pretty clever cause it puts pressure on the B1G to add that non conP4 requirement cause it’s not a good look on their behalf if they don’t add it

unpopular opinion but the last 8-9 games are just as tough as most SEC schedules

It's crazy teams playing schedules like that are dominating the SEC the past 3 seasons. Heck our own Champion hasn't been able to figure out how to win a playoff game the past 3 seasons.
