This was year 3. It is time for a title. Said before the season it was time to put up or move on.

Rebuilding at a blue blood is hilarious. Bama has had loaded rosters for 20 years it didn’t change when Saban left.

There is no rebuilding anymore. Your whales either buy a good team or they don’t

Go actually look at the roster DeBoer inherited. A bunch of nobodys on offense. Not even a single RB or WR who ended up in the NFL.

The offense needed a complete rebuild and overhaul of personnel

Almost every starter on this team (outside of Saban's DBs) is a transfer or underclassman

Bama's entire hype is hinging on teams with Missouri as their best combined win.

It is when you don't run the same schemes as Saban and the majority of them don't fit what you want to do.

So you end up with a mixture of players for 2 schemes trying to game plan around it.

Not to mention our issues, especially the OL, were a problem before Saban left. Milroe was the QB to help with that.

DeBoer had something like 40 players transfer out before he even coached his first game.

In the era of NIL and transfer at will, this is no excuse. Coaches can come in and buy a team year one. He has been at Bama multiple years.

Per internet search, AI assisted:

Transfer Portal Departures: 41 players from the 2023 squad elected to enter the transfer portal.

NFL Draft & Eligibility: Multiple key contributors and starters graduated or left for the NFL.

Retained Production: The team retained approximately 41% to 45% of its total previous-year snap counts.

Roster management is still being worked out in terms of what is best.

But I think what you are talking about is a short term solution and they have been focused more on building a team and program long term.
