Against the PAC whatever! You Bama fricks are deep in denial and when reality hits you it is gonna be glorious. Can’t fricking wait. But you keep on believing otherwise. It’s only going to get better for us spectators.

Washington got steam rolled by Michigan, who Bama took to OT and were evenly matched with. Those Washington players won’t win in the SEC. They won’t be terrible, but Bama likely loses 2-4 games with those caliber players.

FSU went undefeated in the ACC. If they were in the SEC, AND every player remained healthy, do you really think their record would have been the same playing an SEC schedule?

Time will tell. What you really mean is you and your spectator buddies are "so deep in hope/prayers and when reality hits you it's gonna be glorious."

Washington beat Texas something Bama couldn't do.

It will get better for spectators but I also don't think it will be the precipitous fall you all are expecting.
Considering the sudden retirement of Saban and the insane amounts of NIL money being thrown at many of our players it was inevitable that we were going to lose a lot of elite players in the portal. The thing about the portal though is that it goes both ways when the portal finally closes. There will be opportunities for big time players at lesser programs (SEC or otherwise) that will have NIL opportunities and the chance to make an impact at Alabama once the fallout and the dust settles on our current player losses and the portal reopens. Then you have a situation like Michigan's which it seems is inevitable with Harbaugh very likely leaving Michigan. That roster will get raided in a similar way and a natural landing spot for some of their studs will be Alabama and of course other places as well. If you don't think great offensive players won't want to play in Coach DeBoer's system just like they do in Kiffin's offensive system or Freezes's offensive system then you're not being realistic. Some of you honestly believe that Alabama is going back to the Mike Dubose and Mike Shula days of 6 to at best 8 wins seasons with a coach that has won at a very high level everywhere he has been a head coach. Yes, there will be a drop off from Saban's insane level of winning but that was going to be inevitable no matter who Alabama ended up hiring.
The closest comparison I can think of with Alabama going from Saban to Deboer is when Ohio State went from Urban to Ryan Day and Ohio State didn't fall off the college football map when that happened. As an Alabama fan who lived through the "three Mikes" (Dubose, Price, and Shula) era of Alabama football I was pleasantly surprised we managed to not only replace Saban with a coach the quality of DeBoer but with a coach who is enthusiastically embracing (publicly at least) the challenge of following in the footsteps of a legend. Coach DeBoer is about as good a coach as we could have expected to land under such circumstances.

A lot of delusion in this post.

just because Alabama and Georgia are elite doesn't make the rest of the conference elite by connection.
Gonna push back here. Ive said it here before, but just look at the recruiting. The SEC is like 50% of the top 25 teams, year after year. The stadiums are bigger, and so are the budgets.
As far as "elite teams" the argument is less about the top 2-3 tough games and more about the other 75% of the schedule...the lack of soft conference opponents. As mentioned above, teams are ALL (lol Vandy) recruiting at a high level. That means that the 3-6 SEC team you're playing on the road has the #22nd most talented roster as compared to the #78th ya know.
To put it another way - imagine your HS football got moved from AA to like AAAAAA. Now EVERY game you play is harder. Even if you're the biggest winners on earth, there will be some transition

Thread doesn’t compute because he’s only brought 3 players from Washington and one of them didn’t play last year (RS QB). The WR and C were both freshmen and saw significant playing time

Seems to me he did better with his so called weak talent
Than Sark did with all
His 4 and 5* guys.
So what does that say
About Texas?

The SEC this year? Anyway, I guess we'll find out.
but i'll say this:

you started a thread about another team's fans' hopes to be a good football team. and you're telling them not to be fans. so like... maybe you're the one with the coping issue and the fear problems.

His road was easier.
Regular season SOS:
Texas 5th
Wash 17th
Add in the CCG against Oregon & the NCG against UM and they finally have a tougher SOS (5th vs. 6th).
Also, Penix had his best game since September against TX. He played out of his mind and threw some damn near unguardable balls

Actually, you just suck at reading:

Washington is much like Texas in that they played top 20, in conference schedules in the country.
The only problem is they'd have been bottom 4 in the SEC.
