I’d say when half of your roster leaves including many 5 star players, you’re not dealing with a perfectly fine program. Did you see our o-line the last 2 seasons? I mean you’d think Ohio State fan would know this. Yall got our best safety(Downs) and a young up and coming quarterback that now starts for you(Julian Sayin) right after Saban retired

If by perfectly fine program you mean the 40+ players most being 4 and 5 stars transferring out then ok.
Or leaving Deboer the gift of Milroe and his cancerous antics ok.
Or the o line that was subpar from the get go ok
Or all of the players that stayed that were poorly coached and developed because Saban couldn't get quality assistants anymore ok.
It was and is still a complete rebuild from coaches, players and culture.

The idea that Alabama had to rebuild after Nick Saban left is just flat out retarded
You don't know what you're talking about. Bamas two best players on offense in '24 were the two guys Deboer brought with him + Ryan Williams who he had to re-recruit to get him to stay. Nick left a couple good lineman & Ty Simpson & that's it on that side of the ball.

Both had to do rebuild jobs in their own ways. Saban had to bring Alabama out of the depths of mediocrity. DeBoer had to completely rebuild the roster after 40+ players transferred out in his first season when Saban retired.
Deboer didn't rebuild shite. He reloaded.

What was Brian Kelly’s record after 33 games at LSU

Uh, one is not the same. There was a total rebuild needed when Saban came to Bama. DeBoer simply had to find people to fit his system during transfer portal and NIL days. It is laughable to compare the two.

The first 2 years he had to try and win with a lot of Saban holdovers running his system.... Round peg square hole.
Their systems are complete opposite.
The defense was being ran with a lot of Saban guys who didn't fit into the schemes.
This is year 3 with nearly all Deboer's players who can run his schemes on the O and D.

It’s not apples to apples. Saban had to rebuild it.

When Shula left in 2006, Alabama was about the same train-wreck auburn is. Saban winning a NC within 3 years was quite possibly the biggest turn-around miracle of coaching to ever take place in college football
An saban did the same at LSU. He came in following the Archer/curly/dinardo dark ages and had a sec championship in 2 years and a MNC in 4.

To even compare these rebuild jobs is a sign of idiocy

How so? Are you comparing Deboer's takeover from Saban to when Kirby took over from Richt?
Posted on 10/4/26 at 1:36 pm to Contra
Dumb comparison. Saban took over a dumpster fire after Shula was fired. Do Boer took over a juggernaut after Saban retired. The two are not the same.
