Oklahoma beat you down in a good bowl game a few years ago.

Wow.

Literally the last football game Alabama has played in which it did not have a chance at winning the national title.

It was 5+ years ago.

True they did lose the game by 2, after the refs took 6 points from them earlier in the game.

So A&M wins by 4 if it wasn't for the horrible call by the refs.

what teams were better than ND last year?

I would seriously take LSU, aTm and Auburn over ND last year in the SEC alone. ND survives on reputation alone much like Michigan. They live on past success.

Didn’t Alabama beat State 24-0?

What grind?

Dabo is holding another W over Alabama after this amazing rhetorical beatdown

I'll give you an upvote for that comment. But I think it is more of an "w" vs the press than Bama. I like his response to what must be an insulting question trying to belittle his team's accomplishment last year. In fact, I can't really dispute anything he said in it.

Last year Clemson beat two undefeated 12-0/13-0 teams ranked #3 and #1 enroute to the first 15-0 National Championship season in the modern era - Dabo and Clemson don't need to respond to anyone about last season. They wear the belt as defending champs so let the rest of the competition make excuses for last season - We’re looking ahead to this season.

The real grind that will never cease is the West Coast East Coast media bias. In 2011 LSU stomped Oregon to start the season. Not much congratulations, their take on it was that LSU had all summer to prepare for Oregon. What was Oregon doing? Grinding through the summer?

I don't buy into Alabama being tired as the reason Alabama lost.

But Dabo is fricking delusional. The toughest game they played all year was... Texas A&M. Who was a common opponent for Alabama and no where near the toughest game for Alabama over the year.

So yeah, Alabama didn't lose because they were tired, but they played a hell of a lot tougher schedule than Clemson did. Clemson was borderline UCF type schedule and was WORSE than ANY Boise St/TCU/Utah schedule back in the day.

Not the reason Alabama lost, but Dabo's excuses for why is straight up bullshite.

Furthermore, because Clemson never played anyone tough, they never got "exposed" in any way.

Meanwhile because Alabama was playing teams like Miss St who had a good defense, they straight got ways to make Alabama struggle just by the game tape. Of course, that Alabama didn't adjust after that game is just really shitty coaching and that is how Alabama got outcoached.

Not sure why Dabo felt the need to make excuses for this really shitty schedule, but that's a fact he can't hide from even if it can be agreed on that Alabama didn't lose because they were "tired".

Would Dabo trade schedules with Alabama? Hell no. No way in the world, under NO circumstances.

Because he would be playing teams that can beat him. You think he wants LSU? Or A&M on the road again? Auburn at Auburn? Playing Georgia in Atlanta if he won the West? Hell no. Y'all can talk about Mississippi State but that D last year would have hurt Pretty Boy.

What would Bama do to that schedule he has? God have mercy on that bunch, they'd average 50 plus a game.

This is simply Dabo playing chess not checkers, nothing more nothing less.

He loves playing the underdog role and the team seems to thrive on it as well.

We lost 6 of our front 7, plus a projected starter at LB to the dreaded portal. This is nothing but motivation for a young team going through camp.

ND almost lost to Vanderbilt, I repeat Vanderbilt. ND being 12-0 was just as big of a joke as them being in the title game in 2012.
