Clemson is THE BEST FOOTBALL PROGRAM in the country. Deal with it.

Nope.

This is like when Ohio St won the playoffs and everyone was sucking them off, only much worse

Clemson isn't even a top10 program.

Clemson has scheduled numerous Sec teams and won most.

3 0 against sec last year.

Lsu sucks at passing.

Uga was overrateed, only there bc sec east sucks.

Uga offense not dynamic, otherwise they blow out Alabama last year.

If Alabama hadn't played Miss St, a game which they won easily and wasn't even mentioned here, Clemson would have had no idea how to defend Alabama.

That is the kind of stuff that happens when you play good teams. It's not about the single game.

The fact Clemson has to make these Boise St type arguments isn't really a coincidence.

He's not wrong. We had zero 4-quarter games in the regular season. We won every regular season game by 3 scores. The first time we had a true 4-qtr war was against Georgia.

Oh, so how badly you beat an opponent determines how good that opponent is?

That means we can just win every game by 1 pt next year and automatically have the hardest schedule?

Do you realize how dumb that is?

I believe Frank Howard was at Clemson over 3 decades so it isn't a big feat he won the most games.

Most of his teams had a mediocre record and that was in ACC prior to FSU, GTech and the expansion teams.

Tommy Bowden was out of Alabama too and was fired mid season, never won a ACC title.

why would Clemson emulate Miss State if Alabama won easily....

Every coach would copy a team if their strategy worked against another team. It isn't Clemson's fault if Alabama didn't learn from their mistakes in previous games.

State had little offense, but check the stats and the draft. They had one hell of a defense, and they would blitz you coming out of the dressing room. They were a very physical football team.

Are you asking why Clemson did? Or are you trying to suggest Clemson didn't?

I'm just wonder exactly how stupid you are.

Yep, Miss St had the #1 rated defense in the S&P last year.

i'm sure they had some good individual players but I doubt the defense was that good as a whole.

they weren't not exactly defending teams with a Peyton Manning type of QB last year in the SEC.

since u mentioned that game, let's look at MSU's offense:

Miss State was 1 of 15 on 3rd and 4th downs combined.

MSU rushed for 44 yards at 1.5 ypc. 125 yards passing. 0 points.

Alabama's defense really got worked in that game no doubt. lol

So you're really stupid.

Miss St had the #1 defense in the S&P and #2 defense in FEI.

Miss State lost the game by 24. why would Clemson emulate MSU's defense.

Statistiically, the only SEC defense that dominated Alabama was UGA. seems like if Dabo copycatted, he would have gone with UGA.

To be fair to Dabo -

Bama destroyed everyone they played. Most starters only played half a game all year. Saying they were tired during that beat down is a poor excuse. Sometimes you have to admit you just got beat / destroyed.

Now - Bama shouldn't have won so big but most SEC teams quit against them before ever playing so...own it bitches.

Clemson has earned the right to talk trash. I'm a 50/50 dabo fan. He's a big douche most of the time and then other times he seems like a great guy, family man etc.

Saban is clearly 2nd to Dabo at the moment. We'll see if it stays that way.

The problem is - nobody actually said this. Dabo straight pulled it out of his arse as far as I can tell. If there is a source saying this, please post it so I can update my knowledge and recognize that source as dumb.

The only thing that was said in this regard was that Clemson was able to get good tape for game planning and they had more time to prepare.

why didn't the great coach of all time, Saban, emulate texas am and SC's offense against clemson

recall that going into the game, people thought Tua and Alabama's good WRs would torch Clemson's secondary.

Alabama put up over 400 yards of offense and averaged over 6 yards per play on the night.

What Alabama needed was an OC who could call a decent play in the redzone and put up the points that should have gone with it.

how much of it was passing yardage.

I know Tua had a big pass play TD after his first interception but don't remember much in pass game after that.

a lot of the offense probably came when the game was out of reach and Clemson was playing more conservative b/c it was about running out the clock, no quick scores.

295 Passing Yards

It's no surprise you failed to watch the best QB on the field that night.
