Some of it I'm with Dabo on but just because a team destroys another team say by I don't know.... 29-0 doesn't mean the game wasn't physical.

Somehow Clemson manages to barely beat some teams like say, Duke or Syracuse and those teams are not nearly as physical as playing LSU, Georgia, Miss State or a few others in the SEC.

His best comment would have been instead: I don't know personally what Alabama went through. But like them we managed to get to the game undefeated just like they were. We beat Alabama 44-16 and we got to take home the national championship trophy. Anything else is just irrelevant.

I'm sick of the excuses as much as anyone but sometimes it's just better to take the higher road. Dabo doesn't have to stoop low to anyone.

Not sure how you determine which games is more physical than another.

Players get injured all the time in non-SEC games. To make your kind of argument is a conference homer argument.

if the SEC is a grind why doesn't Alabama lose more in it because they are tired.

Miss State could hardly even score last year, how were they physical.

Texas A&M lost the game to Clemson by 2 points, after the refs took 7 points from them.

At worse, A&M wins that game by 4 if they didn't get screwed by the refs.

a touchdown is 6 points, they were down 8.

i believe the ball would have been on 1 yard line so they would still need to get the touchdown.

how hard is this.

they lost by 2 because they need 8 points to tie and Mond was intercepted on the 2 point try.

i'm talking about sports media people, not fans

but i don't even remember non Clemson fans wondering how Clemson got Oklahoma but Bama got MSU that year.

going into that playoff, most people thought Oklahoma was going to win the title.

don't understand this argument given ND had a good team last year.

Norte Dame hasn’t been a good football team in a long long time including when Bama skull drug them in 2012. My point isn’t that it’s not fair but Alabama did catch a break playing Mich state instead of Oklahoma that year. Yes Bama lost to Clemson but it was a competitive football game against a generational talent. Clemson just made a couple of plays that put them over the top. Bamas defense had done a really good job against Watson until the 4th qtr but that was because our offense sucked the second half after Scarborough went down and Bama forgot they had other good RBs. Our offense could t convert a 3rd down in the second half.

what teams were better than ND last year?

It seems like they got to be in the top 6 minimum.

Alabama beat Clemson the year that Clemson beat Oklahoma in the 1st round.

Never understood the generational talent referring to Watson comment given Clemson had Mike Williams and Renfrow at WR and it was Legget the tight end who made the most sensational play in the game, on the last drive.

your comment would make sense if you were talking about a Lamar Jackson or Vincent Young situation.

that season Clemson had a ton of close games, almost lost to NCSU, Troy, Auburn, Lville, FSU, and lost to Pitt at home after giving up 42 or 45. Didn't have any time to prepare for Alabama in games yet were able to beat Alabama. I'm sure Bama won games easily that season. lol

I disagree, I think UGA would gave Clemson a better game. Bama was in that perfect nightmare scenario when we played Clemson. Bama wouldn't never stopped Clemson (thanks to leaderless defense but esp. b/c of Tosh), but the redzone offense kept digging Bama into a hole.

Dabo is an idiot for addressing this. This is the Clemson culture...always seeking approval from others (case in point Clemson posters here) and they cry and wine like pssies when they don't get the attention they desire

They whipped our arse so talk your shat Dabo. I remember you being Neal and Jeff's road runner back in the day. LOL! You've done good and now you are the Ding Dong Daddy from Dumas. BTW, we did get ground down facing AU, UGA, OU and then you guys four in a row. With a bunch of coaches who had already taken other jobs and had one foot out the door. CU basically has a two game schedule so they are fresh and can load up late. Remember just a year earlier when we had you guys in the first playoff game and beat your arse like a borrowed mule? I do. Good point on the depth thing though, it ain't there like it was.

Dabo telling everyone word for word what Bob Stoops said 10 years ago. It’s a few good teams mainly Bama and then not so much.

And Oklahoma can't beat any of us when it matters. LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama...... put a title on the line vs the SEC and Oklahoma shrivels up and dies.

But congrats on those wins over 6-6 Tennessee and the exhibition bowl games!

meh, Dabo could only manage 6 points in his beatdown the year before. It's a new year, new opportunities for both.
