The Clemson coach went with the Buckeyes (11-2) at No. 4 behind his own team, Oklahoma and Georgia.

"Looking at it, you know, they won 11 games. Alabama won 11 games," Swinney explained. "They won the Big Ten championship. Obviously, the committee has a lot of things to look at, a lot of data. They're going to pick the four best teams, however they see it.

"At that moment, that's the way I voted. They're all great teams, man."

In other words, he'd rather play Ohio State. No harm in that.

OSU should not get blown out to Iowa, it was a horrendous and embarrassing loss. then maybe they would have made it

Meh, Bama hasn't really been able to wear that arse out, nor has Auburn, who made a career out of demolishing them. Dabo might actually just be a good coach.

J.T. Barrett is like a turnover prone Jalen Hurts. His injury may or may not have won them a championship in 2014

How refreshing would it have been if he said, “Bama is way better than Ohio State who got murdered by a 7-5 Iowa. So duh, of course I’d rather play a soft Big 10 farce than a SEC heavy weight. But, we ruined their season last year and we are ready to do it again.”

Sick of the conference championship talking point. Too many big 10 conference champs have had their asses handed to them lately for that argument to carry any weight.

Do y’all realize the Coaches poll has zero effect on playoff selection?

Yeah, I kinda believe him that he put his poll in at 3 AM and didn't really put much thought into it. Would've respected him more if he just said he was tired after they won the ACC and he didn't give a shite when he filled it out.
