A 115 is enough motor for those activities. Any motor under that might struggle with a jet ski. That depends on how many people is on the pontoon.

Great State of Arkansas.
I've visited and lived in my share of shithole states and Arky is most definitely a shithole.
That being said, there are plenty of good people if you're not a douchelord.

You went to the wrong places then
There is a reason why NWA is often considered one of the best places to live

Said the guy in Atlanta...

There is no amount of money that could make me move from NWA to Atlanta. Atlanta is a fricking DUMP.

Check out Heber Springs the next time you make it up that way. Absolutely GORGEOUS scenery. Bridal Veil Falls is beautiful, but Collins Creek is what really hooked me. Sugar Loaf Mountain is a really nice hike, only takes about two hours if you’re taking your time. Greers Ferry Lake is really awesome too. They have a good number of cliffs? Or bluffs? I can’t remember what they’re called - that you can jump off of into the lake. The whole town was flooded on purpose to build a Dam. JFK made a speech overlooking the dam. Really cool history behind the town. Tons of little shops you can go check out right on the main drag in town, and they have CBD stores and legal dispensaries that have popped up everywhere, if that’s your thing. Don’t think it’s recreationally legal there yet. Either way, it’s a blast to just go there for a weekend and get away. Went for the 4th and watched an hour long fireworks show on the lake. Highly recommend. Arkansas kicks arse.

I’d love to hear your definition of a shithole. Cheap land, hell cheap LAKEFRONT PROPERTY, plenty of beautiful nature, really nice hospitable people for the most part. Arkansas is great. Now, southern Arkansas sucks major arse, but once you get about 50 miles north of Little Rock you see a major change. Gorgeous country. I thought the same thing about Arkansas until I came to Heber Springs and then got curious about all the other towns like it. If you’re not someone that gets out in nature I could see where you’d think it’s a shithole, though. Guess I enjoy the simple stuff.

East Arkansas sucks arse. I've driven all over that state. To be honest I prefer Southwest and west Arkansas over NWA. I kayaked down the Cossatat river when it had stage 4 rapids and damn near drowned. That river is no joke. Eagle rock loop trail near Albert Pike is one of the best hiking trails in the nation. Ouchitah lake is my personal favorite lake in that state, it's not only gorgeous, but not overly crowded like beaver lake. I'm actually thinking about getting some land around the glenwood area. Preferably along the caddo river.

East Arkansas is quite the difference from the other parts of the state. I strongly recommend not staying in the delta towns like in West Helena. The crime is high and so if you do visit, do it during the daytime. But despite the crime, it has tremendous history in many categories.
Lake Ouachita is the largest man made lake in Arkansas. The largest natural lake is Chicot which is largest Oxbow lake in North America. The The name Chicot means stumpy in French.

Here in southeast Arkansas, and the rest of eastern Arkansas,we are the agricultural part of the state.
Not very pretty, but hunting and fishing are great.
I'm glad folks think we are a shithole,it keeps the a-holes and riff raff out.
Arkansas could be self sustaining if we had to.We have everything here to keep us alive. And do well.Good people as well.

Southeast Arkansas has it's own beauty and that shouldn't be compared to the rest of the state. What advantage it has over the rest of the state is that it has a lot more history because most of the population use to live in the area. One huge advantage it has is the famous musical artists that are from the area. Anything from the blues to country music.
It has superb fishing and Stuttgart is regarded as the duck hunting capital of the world. Notable people such as Bob Knight and Tommy Tuberville use to or still do duck hunt the area. Stuttgart is the home of Riceland company which produces a large percentage of this nation's rice.
It is home of the largest bayou in the world, Bartholomew at 364 miles long. It contains over 100 aquatic species, making it the second most diverse stream in North America.
