You guys mostly just seemed to take a big loss with grace without temper tantrums.

Some other fanbases could learn from you

This is an LSU site. Imagine if the SEC Rant was part of shaggybevo/orangebloods. You’d be ready to kick Texas out of the SEC.

We know what we have in our QB and OC. We didn't think we were number 1 and no Texas fan was surprised to see them shoot themselves in the foot and lose that game.

I’m more upset about the performance, than the loss. Oklahoma took advantage of flaws Texas has put on tape consistently this season. We had it coming, I just didn’t think OU could get it done. The atmosphere was rabid, the shots of the OU crowd were awesome. I want to believe this was a wake up call, but if The Ohio State deficit and the Tennessee scare didn’t wake them up, this may just be who they are.

It’s how we react during the loss that is off the charts.

This year honestly has just felt weird. I think most UT fans (certainly the ones I know and talk to most) all knew we were frauds and sooner or later someone, somewhere will pull our card.

Nothing new to say or uncover here, I think the prescient fans who know ball said it best all last week in the run up to the game. This is the type of game in the 120+ history of it being played that UT loses and OU wins.

That said, it was a complete and epic meltdown on ST/O for it to happen, and it's never happened when the talent and record on paper was this big of a gap, but, well.....this is why you play the games.

And this is why OU is the most hated rival ever. A&M could never have won that game if the helmet logos were swapped with OU.

It was a hell of a game. I went in thinking OU has no chance. Then of course Mateer got strip sacked on like the 3rd play of the game deep in Longhorn territory.

The people who dismiss this rivalry because 'B12' or whatever need to attend an OU/TX game. It's on an unmatched level.

I always wonder if losing games in situations where you probably "should" have lost helps wake a team up more than winning it.

You can evaluate your flaws much more when you lose. For some reason winning solves everything without looking as critically

We know our zombie head coach, offensive coordinator, and play caller is fully capable of wrecking top dollar offensive talent. The cherry on the top of this shite sundae is a special teams coordinator who flat out sucks and would rather chase monkey having strippers.

It's mind boggling how consistently bad we are in those arenas but it is what it is.

What is so sad about it is that we don't have to be frauds. It's just a choice. I don't understand.

it's typical to see so many posts from Longhorn fans exclaim that Oklahoma did not defeat Texas, the 'Horns just beat themselves.

No fanbase anywhere in the country can compete with the UT faithful when it comes to disrespecting their opponent.

It's the same with the Texas media. Can't tell you the number of Texas podcasts I watched Sunday that extolled a similar theme: "Our 'Horns had no business losing to an inferior program with inferior players."

Dang dude what an inferiority complex. That isn't what I said at all.

OU showed up and played better, there.
