Since Georgia hired Kirby in 2016

Besides Cignetti he’s probably the best football HC hire in the country since 2020

This forum really is all or nothing. Why dont we get through the whole season before anyone is crowned?

Said this off-season that they’d won the coaching carousel & looks even more so now. It’s not just that Stein is a good coach, it’s that he’s a perfect fit for BBN.

They went the assistant route and plucked him from P4 Oregon while other teams in the SEC continuously go after G5 scrubs who have no shot in this league. You would think these schools would learn.

Time will tell how good it can be.

Honestly, it took basically forcing our AD into retirement to make it happen. Barnhart didn’t want to get rid of Stoops. And drug his feet long enough that Sumrall was no longer an option.

Thankfully Stein grew up a UK fan and his Dad played at UK. So he’s less likely to jump unless it’s a big big job (not sure about his NFL aspirations).

How does pointing out that you made a premature claim even earlier than we all knew make it any better? The whole point is that 6 games in, there isn’t enough evidence either way to know these things

Kentucky hired Bear Bryant from Maryland

If he had beaten Tennessee even once in nearly a decade at UK, probably still their coach. You can win a Natty but if you can not beat your main rival at least once in 3 or 4 years, your seat gets hot.
