And made that decision suddenly and with little advance notice to member institutions.

And limited practice time.

And cut their season down so much that a handful of cancelations would totally jack up their scheduling.

And didn't build in bye weeks to mitigate against it.

And instituted a 21 day quarantine period despite literally all scientific evidence suggesting it wasn't necessary.

The B1G couldn't have fricked it up more if they had tried. Now they have to live with literally dozens of people tuning in to watch a slap fight between a crippled Indiana and Northwestern in their championship game.

Not to mention, the cases that are out of control right now are primarily out of control in the Midwest/Plains. Weird how nobody has been clamoring that they should just shut it all down or that everyone in the Midwest is an anti-science hater dumbass like they were back in the Summer when the Sun Belt was having issues.

So weird!

The B1G can't play their season, meanwhile, the SEC still has a reasonable shot at playing all of their games.

Suck our balls.

If Michigan can't go but Ohio State can the B1G could match Ohio State up with another idle team that weekend.

Day has said that Ohio State can play this week if they can practice Thursday and Friday. I don't know how good they'd look with a shortened week but it couldn't be any worse than the shitshow of a product the Texas A&M offense put on the field last Saturday.

My personal feeling is that they'll get in 5 games plus the championship weekend game. Fingers crossed.

Hate to see it.

We could be looking at all ACC/SEC playoffs although this might open the door for the Pac 12 or even Cincy?

On a similar note, can you imagine if that happened in this league between rivals? Holy shite.

What? You mean like LSU cancelling their game against Alabama, or something along those lines?

I knew it was wrong when I typed it, but don't set it up on a TEE if you don't want somebody to hit it.

Que Heather Dinich to say that the Buckeyes are still in the Playoffs due to being one of the four best.

Not sure what rule change you are referring to. Every B1G team is supposed to play that weekend as the +1 game. It's been that way since they announced they would play.

Harbaugh would 100% do this to keep OSU from meeting the required minimum number of games.

What is the required minimum no. of games?

I misread. I thought you said 5 games plus the championship game which tOSU would be ineligible for. Seems like a stretch.

Consider that SEC went out of its way to build a little bit of a cushion into the season and we still are going to have multiple games after rivalry week. The B1G should have seen this coming a mile away.

Even with the cushion we built in I would not be surprised if a couple of the games just don't happen. The B1G screwed up by the numbers trying to rush through a mini season on a tight schedule during a pandemic.

Like you said, every health expert out there said there is going to be a huge spike during cold and flu season and they've been saying it for 6 months. This is completely on the Big Ten.

They're screwed and have no shot at the playoff.

If they only play 4 games they damn sure shouldn't be in, but are there rules for minimum number of games played? I can see the committee wanting to put them in no matter what if they're able to
