If ND beats Clemson & Bama beats Florida

If that happens, I think they'll give an undefeated G5 school a shot. If it's ever going to happen for a G5 school, this would be the year. BYU is also in play.

This was predictable. A laundry list of health experts predicted a spike in COVID during cold and flu season. For that very reason, most institutions created academic calendars that suspended on site classes at Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile the brain trust of the B1G pushed their season back into cold and flu season.

I don't want to ever hear another Big 10 blowhard arrogant arse wipe tell me about academic rankings among athletic conferences.

This was stupid and politically motivated.

remember when they acted like a Jan/Feb start was a reasonable idea

The B1G couldn't have fricked it up more if they had tried.

They did so on purpose but with lawsuits having been filed by several different people, they wanted to put on the facade they tried.

If they only play 4 games they damn sure shouldn't be in

Agreed.

And I'm not just saying that because it's my team that benefits, but because it's no fair to the other two or three schools that make the playoff. Notre Dame, Clemson, Alabama, Florida, and Texas A&M have all played full schedules or close to full schedules. They've been up and at 'em since July and they've done the things they needed to ensure a successful season. That means foregoing being a kid and living in a bubble for the last four or five months.

It's no fair to those teams if a 4-0 Ohio State is allowed into the College Football Playoff.

You hate to see it. But with all the unnecessary virtue signaling and thinking they can dictate what other conferences do, it's hard to feel sorry for them.

Just imagine though ... an all SEC/ACC CFP ... there will be a lot of pulling of hair and gnashing of teeth mainly by B1G fans.

I am hoping that OSU does not make it in and Cincy does. That state would go in complete chaos.
