Since it is in Atlanta, probably. If it was in Dallas/Houston/Orlando it'd be a ghost town.

Why do you get all fricked up over a thread like this. I hate our OOC. I would think as a fan who spends money on tickets to watch Bama play would want more premiere games than that.
Maybe you're not that fan who has the money to spend and don't get it.
I get a team needs some easier but that is a horrible line up for a true football fan.

In the four years of the CFP, every team has played at least one...and in some cases, two...home-and home games against a Power 5 opponent in the year(s) they were in the playoffs.
Ohio State. Clemson. Oklahoma. Oregon. FSU. Washington. Michigan State. Georgia.
Every. Single. fricking. One.
Except Alabama.

That's bad. Like real bad. We should never play duke. In 2010 it was almost embarrassing at how easy it was. The G5 teams, Meh, They want to play but duke should not be out p5 opponent.

I never said I liked Alabama's schedule....in fact I said that I didn't, but for an Auburn fan to belittle the schedule of anybody is just hypocritical as hell. I had 4 seats in the Scholarship Club section for years until my daughter got older and we tired of making the trip up so much, so I can appreciate the frustration that fans/ticket holders feel.

The southern miss games were scheduled because they needed the payout after Ellis Johnson cleaned out their athletic budget. Don't know that I'd call it a favor to a team in a neighboring state, but it certainly helped southern miss dig themselves out of a self-dug hole.

Alabama doesn't set the ticket prices for that game.
2019 really sucks OOC. I've been a huge fan of the neutral site games, but we're getting the shaft on this one.
FWIW, Byrne didn't schedule this game. Bill Battle did. Battle also made an agreement for 2020 in Dallas with a guarantee that we would be paid a minimum of $1 million more than our opponent, but ESPN hasn't found an opponent yet.
ETA - It's in the agreement that ESPN and Alabama must "mutually approve" the opponent, but if they don't find someone worthwhile soon, it might already be too late to find a P5 game of any kind. See fricking Duke in 2019.
