Sources have confirmed that Bruce Pearl's past bad behavior was of particular interest and gave the NCAA cause to look further into the Auburn AD going back to Auburn's 2010* national championship season. Witnesses include Terry Bowden and the discovery of a "black book" which provides insight into how far back the investigation goes which is justified by the fact of Pat Dye's continued involvement in the program and even has an office there.

Sources didn't specify when, but Auburn has received an LOI.

I'm going to need a flowchart to follow this

Ouch! This could be serious
Western Northern Carolina Community College can only wait in fear to see the damage Chapel Hill did to them.

And of course a Missouri fan would post about Kentucky. The obsession is so real.

We may get in the tourney after all! Unless, of course, we're fricked too.

Wasn't Carolina's old assistant already caught up in this?

nothing major will come out of this just like every other College sports scandal

This. College basketball is where the NCAA makes its money. The NCAA will not bite the hand that feeds it.

There will be major overhauls in the rules. I don't doubt that there will be a "Commissioner of College Basketball" that comes out of all of this.

Never said that we aren't. Just saying... if we are, Cal is losing his game. We're terrible this season.

Unfortunately that's wishful thinking, everything teams do is in a grey area. Legal, yes. Unethical, maybe.

They will make examples out of basketball programs that are in major conferences that suddenly got good but won't mess up the historical programs. In football it was Ole Miss. In basketball could be a team like Auburn or Witchita State. NCAA will flex their muscle to try and appear viable

It’s not the mid-major programs who were trying to buy players to get to the top,” one of Schlabach’s sources said. “It’s the teams that are already there.”

You undwrstand that in order to go back that far there would have to be current probation in place when actions occurred. 2010 is not being touched
