PFF said he had 6 sacks which would tie the national record. And doesn’t win the the sec defensive player of the week or even defensive lineman of the week. Over a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, I get it I’m fine with him not winning it for that dumb shite.
But it does seem strange that a guy could have 8 tackles 5.5 TFL 5.5 or 6 sacks 10 qb pressures 1 qb hit and 1 forced fumble and still not win it. Seems silly.

Cole was really good for UGA but yeah, I think the penalty is why. Simmons has to be a top three pick.

He got a really serious talking to by Sarkisian which is actually worse than a suspension because, well, idk but it must be, I mean it is what happened and we all know no one wants a serious talking to by Sarkisian.

His "pantomiming" could have led to a score that would have tied the game at the half. The vols went from having to punt out of their own endzone to a 1st down, had momentum and drove to the Texas 37-yard line before turning the ball over on downs and all that happens is Sarkisian talked to him.
There were no consequences, Simmons learned nothing except that he can get away with anything. It may not happen against Oklahoma but at some point before the seasons finished he will do something stupid again and next time horns may not be so lucky.

That’s not really thug behavior that’s more like deviant behavior.

You’re exaggerating, I was pissed off when he did it, but that’s the only bad thing he’s ever done on and off the field. I don’t think it’ll be a problem moving forward.
