I have accepted the SEC will be expanding into a mega-conference and will ultimately change college football into an NFL lite. FSU & Clemson make perfect sense.

frick that bring their asses on! They just steal from the government when they go broke anyway so we may as well let them get some SEC money. We are playing them every year regardless, so it will give us flexibility in our schedule for it to be a conference game.

How long is Clemson going to be that good?

Remember when you thought Miami and FSU looked to have a grip on the entire football world?

Clemsons run is amazing.

But,
Programs rise and fall. When Clemson falls, are they the same brand power that sec teams are?

What if this was Jimbo's master plan all along?

Same brand as South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Mississippi St?

I'm just wondering when it all ends. I bet we will eventually see two huge mega conferences, split up either north/south or east/west...and have a short, meaningless regular season and a ton of playoff games.

How sad.

If the goal is to take over why doesn't the SEC take Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, and WVU?

Become the super conference before anyone else can come close.

Alabama, lsu, Georgia, Ohio state, Oklahoma, maybe Florida and auburn could all do the same thing if they played a regular season where their toughest game was north Carolina or Louisville

Oklahoma is already doing that in another weak conference and then getting mudholes stomped in them when they make the playoffs. Oklahoma is a poor man's Clemson, without any titles.

I look forward to the day this greed that has made the Golden Goose a dead duck walking, can eat it's last Foie Gras...and there is no more.

I will then laugh.

FSU had a chance. They blew it back in the day.

No more teams though. 16 teams is the absolute max.

Here's a fact. The ACC Media Rights runs until 2035. No way.

Next rumor please.

What it will do is kick the recalcitrant big boys out there in the arse to join in a new football division.

It is cute you guys think you have a vote. Texas will decide who gets in to the SEC from this point forward.

Three regional pods if 6 then?

West:
A&M
Oklahoma
Texas
Arkansas
Mizzou
LSU

Central:
Tennessee
Kentucky
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss St

East:
Georgia
Vandy
South Carolina
Florida
Florida St
Clemson

12 game Conference season. Play your pod every year and alternate the other pods even and odd years. You’d play every @ every stadium in a players 4 year career. Have 1 non-conf game for a 13 game season. Kids are getting paid now.
