It is cute you guys think you have a vote. Texas will decide who gets in to the SEC from this point forward.

You're trying too hard to be edgy. Lighten up, kid.

I'd be hypocrite if I had a problem with it.

After a single week of you guys I'm starting to think you really believe this. Just so your oddly inflated ego doesn't get hurt you should probably stay put. You are more than capable of pushing around Tech, Baylor, KSt, etc...

Like the Gator poster said earlier,it actually helps both UF and SC on your scheduling.Might as well be a conference game if you have to play em home and game every year.

Meanwhile we're stuck with GT who'll never get an invite.

We are playing them every year regardless, so it will give us flexibility in our schedule for it to be a conference game.

And if FSU joined the SEC, UF would just replace it with an annual home game against an FCS cupcake instead of replacing an traditional home and home in-state rival like FSU with, say, another traditional home and home in-state rival like Miami who you dropped when the SEC added a 7th conference game in 1988.

Tell me about Texas A&M's recent national championships in any of the big 3 sports.

Barring a post-Saban Alabama enticing Dabo (not sure what people think of him here, but he has many Bama fans approval as an eventual successor in my experience) I think Clemson will still pull weight.

If the SEC and B1G further dwarf the ACC’s deal come 2025 there is no chance schools will sit on their hands until 2035. I think the ACC is in real trouble.

Why? The ACC came out of the last round of alignment stronger. More is not always better. Texas and Oklahoma is taking themselves out of contention for a conference title for a long time if ever. Instead of being a big fish in a little pound they are now going to be a well paid voice in the choir.

There are several programs that bring in huge dollars that can't field a competitive team. If money were the only solution then schools like South Carolina or Kentucky would be competing for football titles on an annual basis. Now they've moved further down the bench.

Clemson and FSU's proximity to the SEC allows us to compete in recruiting against SEC schools without parody that's coming to that league. Each team still only gets 85 Scholarships...

If the ACC can get the cash cow of Notre Dame as a full member and find a way to poach Penn State (if the money's right) it will be fine. FSU just needs to get it's head out of it's arse.

FSU had a chance. They blew it back in the day.

And we actually spent over 20 years trying to get those frickers in the SEC.

Wasn't Clemson originally supposed to have left the ACC when y'all did?

Tell us sunshine how this merger is going to make the UofSC football program better. As far as I can see, a little more bank and 2 more more schools you can chant SEC SEC for when Carolina has had their asses handed to them yet again.

That is the commonly told story by our older fans.
