No, they’re on par with bottom half of the Big 10. My point being “power 5” doesn’t mean shite when the bottom halves are on par with Tulsa.

Cincinnati was overmatched but they didn't embarrass themselves when things started getting away from them.

Michigan embarrassed themselves once Georgia punched them in the mouth. Fumbles, horrible INTs, just stopping running multiple times. They looked shell shocked.

The bottom half of the Big 10 may suck but they would still win the AAC most years.

Cincinnati had a good opportunity that they belonged with the big boys. I was thinking they might have been more competitive with Bama who might have overlooked them for Georgia. Instead it was a bit disappointing the offense couldn't make a game out of it.

Bama beat them down but Cincinnati is a much better team than this board gives them credit for.

They’re a 3 loss team in the regular season if they play in the SEC-W.

Agree. They just aren't good enough on offense. Line isn't great, no scary skill guys and a QB who isn't accurate and isn't an elite running threat.

Those corners were absolutely legitimate, though. They tackled everything, too.

Both deserved it. Alabama and Georgia are just that much better, imo.

Yep and they would struggle in the West. Probably finish top three in the East but that depends on what part of the year as some teams would begin giving up such as coaching changes.

Yeah well if they're in the SEC-W then they would have a lot more talent. This is frickin Cincinnati, unbelievable job Fickel has done there with these guys.

Cincy deserved to be there. Solid team. Held up better than Michigan for sure.

When their offense clicks, it's legit. Bama's D-line was just too disruptive to let Cincy get anything going on offense. That was the difference in the game, and that level of D-line play is what usually sets the SEC apart from the rest of the country, so no big surprise there.

But in the end Cincinnati held up as well as anyone else would have. Honestly, a solid showing by a G5 team, and I think the door to the playoffs will remain open for G5 teams in the future after today. Competing better than a #2 ranked Big 10 champion Michigan says a hell of a lot.

Truth right here. Physically and athletically they were extremely overmatched but still kept it respectable for the majority of the game. I’ve watched my Sooners put up a lot less fight with a hell of a lot more talent than Cincy had on more than one occasion.

Big No on Cincy over Michigan.

Ohio State has the talent to beat anyone in college football. They manhandled them. Played in arguably the best conference and worst deficit coming into this game all year was 4. They were legit.

The narrative before A&M/Bama game was right. Two teams and then a gap.

Hoping for a different outcome next time. I think we can play better. Will that be enough? Not sure.

False at least Michigan plays in a P5 conference.

Absolutely, Michigan had to beat quite different opponents than Cincinnati did

If the playoff committee took the top two teams, according to its "eye test" it would have been BAMA vs Michigan. Georgia would be out without the 4 team concept.

BAMA and Ohio State have won the playoff as a 4 seed. How does that happen without a 4 team playoff? Whether you like the final scores of the semis or not, the truth is we needed the 4 team playoff to get to the "BEST" team. Why, because the "eye test" isn't always 20/20.
