South Carolina could be getting a major boost ahead of Saturday's road game against No. 16 Florida.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, star defensive end Dylan Stewart is on track to return from his suspension and play against the Gators. Stewart is expected to travel with the team to Gainesville on Friday, barring any setbacks.
Stewart was suspended following South Carolina's loss to Alabama on September 26 after punching an opposing player and having a heated exchange with head coach Shane Beamer on the sideline.
The talented pass rusher missed last week's 35-34 overtime loss to Kentucky but returned to practice earlier this week.
South Carolina (2-3) will face Florida (4-1) on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. CT on SEC Network.
