Chips are down: Have you shared courtesy to a rival fan?

For example, you're on the road and give a courtesy stop to wave on through a fan with (insert rival plates/stickers/flags) adorning their vehicle
I share courtesy but it is with the ulterior thought "bless them they support trash they could use something nice today"
Have you shared courtesy to someone you'd otherwise scoff at?

I found tBrand on fire one day and urinated on him to douse the flames. Outside of that, no.

I went to a USC-Tennessee game with my cousin (UT alum) in Columbia. He always acknowledged Gamecock fans with a wave or a tip of his cap. When I asked him why, he said “Those guys are the most loyal fans in the SEC. Even when Holtz first got there and had an winless season, they were still in the stands. Respect.”

Yup, even when they stunk, that place would sell out

I just bumped your downsy chips post. That's as courteous as I'm feeling today.

All the time. I constantly run into fans from all SEC teams where I currently live. It's always a friendly poke or jab at each other's team in a light-hearted manner and always ends with a handshake or making a new friend.
Wouldn't have it any other way. Lots of good people out there.

West Virginia's not a rival, but we played them in the 2005 Sugar Bowl that was relocated to the Georgia Dome because of Hurricane Katrina. As we were entering the stadium through a set of crowded turnstiles, I stepped aside so a West Virginia fan could go ahead of me.
"You Georgia fans are so nice," she said with a big smile.
I contemplated my response for a few seconds then told her, "Ma'am, you haven't met all of us yet."
