They’re still bitter. Most people from Nebraska were confident during the inception of the Big 12 that they were going to routinely steamroll Texas.

Nebraska has the weirdest fanbase I have ever met.
Majority of UT fans don’t even care about them but they hold a grudge like it was our fault that their state doesn’t have any talent.

I was like, "This guy seems mad." Then I saw that he writes for the Omaha World Herald. Yeah, Nebraska fans don't like Texas. Their team was 1-9 versus Texas in the Big XII. So they ran away and blamed big mean Texas for ruining the conference.

It's about more than 10 win seasons.
Since the "if only Colt hadn't got hurt" game, which spans the tenures of 3 different head coaches, Texas is 15-34 (30.6%) against teams ranked in top-25 at game time.
The MOST wins against ranked teams they've had in a single season (including bowls) was 5. In the other 10 years, they've had 3 seasons with 0 and no other season with more than 2.
For comparison, in the same time period Ole Miss (4 coaches) has gone 13-37 against ranked at game time teams.
Arkansas - which has endured both John L Smith and Chad Morris still went 14-45.
I'm glad they've got experience with 7-8 win seasons and 4th place division finishes so where they're going to be in the future won't be anything new.

As a Husker, we can’t stand Texas. Getting beat in the last seconds over and over will do that to you. But - this guy is not a Husker fan or their beat writer, he’s often more critical of the Huskers than complimentary. Sure we are down- terrible athletic department and coaching hires have seen to that, but what this guy is saying about Texas isn’t wrong.
Nebraska left the Big 12 because everyone thought it would collapse and the uneven revenue that the Longhorn network created. 1-9 vs Texas, sure, but Nebraska also won a NC as a Big 12 member, just as many as Texas and Oklahoma have.
