It was an all out beat down. I switched over to a movie at halftime and never looked back.

Just goes to prove to J. Q. LSU fan here that the committee doesn't give a shite about viewership. Though they did care about "deserves" (which LSU fans decry every year) and that bit them hard them hard in the arse this year.

Not sure of the viewership there.

But these numbers are alarming and should be reiterated and put into perspective.

The game needs national name brands.

It was 65-7.. what did you expect… casual fans turn on the fans after half.

The Georgia brand is only appealing to the NASCAR fan demographic, not surprised.

Back in the day this would've been a PPV game if played in season. Nobody wanted to watch a UGA practice.

Not surprising with a 60 pt blowout and
one team that doesn't have much of a following.

Why? And speaking of perspective, why don't you tell us about the ratings of the semi-final games...played on New Years Eve day and New Years Eve?

You know Forbes already keeps track of this. You can double check if you need to.

This only proves Georgia is the most dominant national champion in history. Drama was over by 6 minute mark of second quarter.

It was the biggest blow out in bowl history. It was 17-7 after 1 Quarter and 38-7 at half.

Why is everyone so surprised by the poor ratings?

Looks like viewership has been declining for years

Football is slowly dying. It won’t exist in 10-15 years

UGA being in the game is also problematic from a ratings perspective.

UGA isn't in the Top 5 most-viewed CFB programs and wasn't even the most-watched SEC team this year.

So UGA also being in the game caused the ratings to suffer.

This is about the championship game.

It proves you need a national name brand in the championship game.
