Lane’s honeymoon period will be relatively brief if he loses a couple of games the fans feel he has no business losing but he’ll still get at least a honeymoon period.

Replace Lane this year with Matt Ruhle and I think that’d be a pretty reasonable list.

They did not lose three regular season games. They lost two games and defeated Georgia in Athens. They also avenged the loss to OU while getting a playoff win Norman.
Yeah they were hammered by Indiana. So was Oregon but for some reason they aren’t mentioned?

Kiffin hasn’t got anything to lose with the exception of some pride.

What we are now witnessing is the inclusion of Kiffin on any social media list in order to garner clicks. Regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

I do not hate on Sark but with money Texas throws at NiL he has to be getting warm if Texas either fails to make playoffs or is out first round.

I am upset that Drinkwitz's name isn't on this list. Have you noticed his team has been slowly declining over the years and the W-L record has been going backwards since that one magical season beating OSU in the bowl game.

That's what you call a "magical" season? Beating Ohio State's 3rd string in a bowl game?

Norvell has a huge buyout so FSU prob could not...plus a ton of teams were looking for coaches so was prob wise to wait a year financially.

Not sure why Norvell is on there.

He has no reputation to lose. Everybody already knows that he's one of the worst coaches in college football.

And with what he's already survived, I think he might even be retained if FSU goes 2-10 again.

Kiffin's on the list cause of the money put into his team that was built to win next year. To imply he's in any actual danger next year is absurd but he may lose a credibility hit if he goes like 8-4.

People keep saying this but the vast majority of the transfers they brought in have at least 2 years of eligibility remaining. Some of those deals have multi year options, that's why this class was so expensive.

Why is Kiffin's name even on the list?

Lots of people would be eager to pile on at even a small stumble. He loves playing the heel but he can't expect much sympathy on a tough day.

Having multiple years and intending to stay multiple years are different. Your most expensive players (Leavitt, Seaton, Umanmielen, Green, etc.) are planning on going to the draft next year if things go according to plan. They may not though.

Sark has more to lose in 2026 than Lane IMO.

I honestly think that Lane should be number 1. He made a BIG splash when he left and throwing a bit of a tamptrum (if the reports are accurate). He also talked up his process with the LSU brand and all that. If he comes out and only wins 7 or 8 games or does something stupid in a couple losses, it could get ugly really quickly from the national media.

I think most people know year 1 of a coaching change usually has ups and downs in CFB

I think folks will pile on even if he goes 9-3. Especially if Ole Miss is good and beats LSU.

Drinkwitz is overrated.

Constant whining about lack of support while the stadium is sold out and there have been a half a billion in stadium upgrades.

Sucks at QB development.

Zero deep game.

No championship of any sort.

Constant interviewing with other programs.

Mizzou will not exceed 6-6 this season.
