Someone needs to do a bit of research on how and why Alabama exist and then realize we gave the shittiest part of our state up on purpose.
In all seriousness LA, MS ans AL should have been divided on an east-west basis rather than north-south, those are the distinct groups of people.

Never been there. Would like to visit. I’m sure there’s something to do somewhere. Even if there isn’t, I tend to be a big fan of vast expanses of nothing.

There's nothing special about the I-10 corridor.
Mississippi's contributions are limited. First and foremost, it's the Blues, Robert Johnson Muddy Waters. B.B. King etc. It's not even close.
There are lots of fine looking women in the Magnolia State, so there's that.
Otherwise, it's still a backwards, racist, homophobic dump of a state that instructs the rest of us how now to act. An overall shitty legacy.

I grew up and spent most of my life in Mississippi. Most of it is forgettable but I like the three college towns and the coast is pretty awesome as well. Very affordable waterfront living down here

Throughout the South from Ga to TX, FL to SC anything south of the gnat-line sucks with the exception of the Beaches. Even then there is a varying degree of sucking at the different Beaches. In GA you have one decent beach (St Simmons), the entire East Coast of FL falls in the same category as Beaches in NJ. All the beaches from Mobile to South Padre Island require photoshop to put in a postcard. Here is a good gauge to determine the beauty of a place in the South, if it is 300 ft or less above sea level and the predominate tree is a pine, stay the frick away.

Please by all means continue to bash MS. Does not bother me. We have continued to fool most people that the state is like it was 50+ years ago. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Oh sure, there is a small amount of racism still around but I would venture to guess that it is on a much smaller scale than just about any other state in the union.
MS is actually the best place in the US to live but we don’t want that secret to get out so we let the old perceptions float around. That way, lesser number of people move here. Now once somebody moves to MS, they never want to leave.
So please keep it up, you are doing a good job of taking the bait. :)

It’s definitely gotten worse. Texas has had a huge influx of Californians move here. Texas spoke when they voted Cruz back in over that open border fake Mexican Beto !!
