Oh sure, there is a small amount of racism still around but I would venture to guess that it is on a much smaller scale than just about any other state in the union.

Bwhahahaha...

MS is actually the best place in the US to live but we don’t want that secret to get out so we let the old perceptions float around. That way, lesser number of people move here. Now once somebody moves to MS, they never want to leave.

Best because of it's amazing infrastructure; incredible educational system; per capital income; GDP? Mississippi is awful in every way.

Their fricking state senator was running around talking about a public hanging. I guess that's the small amount of racism still around in Mississippi and they voted her arse in.

Nope, nothing new to see here.

Infrastructure-I just traveled up to central Missouri. In MS, I drove on nice 4 laned Highways from Meridian to Tupelo to Memphis. From there to Jonesboro it was four lane, after that though was the most miserable driving conditions I have driven on in years. Two lane highways w/and occasional third lane for passing up and down hills/valley’s, curves every where. I felt like I was on a NASCAR road race. Exhausting.
On the trip home after Memphis, I felt like I was already home.

Education-lot of good schools around the state. Sadly, the Delta schools drag down the rest of the state.

Income and GDP are lower but quality of life is much better. Money is important but not everything. Friendly people, lots of hospitality and many down to earth people that you can always count on offset some of that.

Racism-I see you did not dispute what I said, you just whined some.

Certainly not perfect but reality here is much better than perception.

I live in Louisiana and have spent weekends on the Alabama and Florida beaches. You have to drive through Mississippi to get there, and I'll just say Louisiana, Alabama and Florida (especially Louisiana and Alabama) could all learn a thing or two from Mississippi on having some decent roads on I-10.

I love driving on I-10 in Mississippi because those are the smoothest roads I've driven anywhere. In Louisiana and Alabama, I'm always scared I'm going to lose a tire or an axle.

I love that some people still think this way about Mississippi, because that kind of thinking keeps a lot of shite people out of here...

I lived in Mississippi as well. Im sorry, but if you didnt grow up there you will prob grow to dislike it.

I lived in Vicksburg. Beyond Casinos, there was nothing to do. I went to Jackson and the surrounding areas Still nothing.

Mississippi Population isnt climbing fast, there's a reason why.

Poor education, poor jobs, poor resources, poor everything.

The only thing that Mississippi has as of now are the Casinos. If they were not there, Mississippi would tank further down the tubes.

If you like living in those circumstances, then by all means, have at it!

There’s some pretty depressing areas of Colorado that’s any state, IMO. And the eastern plains here definitely smell worse than Mississippi

I don’t live in MS full time, but I’m overseeing a project in a rural af community. Still been able to find shite to do because I’m not a sour little bitch

Most of the time the “there’s nothing to do” crowd cried when they were kids if they were not constantly entertained...I live close to the MS coast and there’s plenty to do...now if you’re into cave diving, or desert exploration, we can’t help you there...but to act like we collect stamps for a good time is crazy......

False. I say this because most of the people that move here like it.

Just a dumb thing to post.

This is true. It's both good, and bad. Mostly bad though.

This is dumb. MS has a lot of natural resources. Timber, oil & gas, coal, sulpher, water, fertile soil, etc.

You're a fool.
