You can't compare football to baseball.

A big time regular season college football game has more viewers than MLB playoffs, at times.

Imagine if Alabama has been in the CWS v. a Sunbelt school. More people would have been watching the reruns of Perry Mason on the Justice Channel. ABC would have replaced the broadcast with a news report on an endangered snail species.

Based on ratings they should have tried that Sunday.

What is it with ragging on college baseball and the CWS? I understand baseball is a game for purists and thinking folk. If you're not sharp enough to understand and decipher the nuances of the game, there's always the UFL for your spring sports enjoyment.

Doesn't take brute strength and requires an IQ higher than 80. Also, very seldom hear of college baseball players driving 130 in a 40, wrapping their wheels around a tree and killing folk. Even UGA baseball players don't act like idiots when it comes to the internal combustion engine.

I don't necessarily want to rag on baseball...

But I don't get this "thinking man's game" bs. It isn't a very complicated game. The decisions that coaches/managers make? They have all kinds of time to think about what they want to do. The only exception to this is when they have to decide what to do with baserunners.

There are very few times a player has to make a very complicated decision about what to do with the ball... and while baserunners have to think on their feet a bit... it isn't like a running back or a guy driving to the basket trying to figure out what to do and when to do it.

I get that you are always trying to outfox the other team... but you do that in every other sport as well.

Trying to pretend that baseball is a some sort of super cerebral game compared to other sports is just about as ridiculous as saying that "hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports".

Some athletes who have stated that hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports:

Deion Sanders
Michael Jordan
Ted Williams

I'll take their word for it.

The Message Board Genius guy has a really really hard time recognizing parody. The other time when I was on there when I claimed that I don't watch college football anymore because NIL and athletes getting paid, and instead I sit in a hunting stand all day thinking about how college football sucks these days, the Message Board Genius guy did the same thing.

the softball title series had 2.2 million. That was less than the title series for baseball. 1.5 million is what the entire CWS averaged. 1.3 million is what the entire softball world series averaged

then why didn't you post the average of the CWS titles series? Is it because it was higher than the softball title series?

Nope, 1.21 mil. I'm not going to post a screenshot.

Granted, ABC saved you on the final game. Old people with rabbit ears and 3 channels.

Can we swivel back to the show in the title?

I never understood how Rizzoli rose to the rank of detective.

Every episode of the show I watched she was the dumbfounded one of the pair while Isles always managed to come up with the information to nail the perpetrator.

The character as played by Angie Harmon was a perfect clone of her scatterbrained mother.

what region?

There sure is a lot of talk on this board about the CWS for folks that don’t care about the CWS

LSU simultaneously has some of the best college baseball fans and some of the worst.

Very similar to Alabama in football.
