Can someone explain the Laquon Treadwell hype?

He will be the 3rd - 5th best receiver in the SEC this season. And that's if his injury does not bother him again.
Stats show he is not the best receiver. These two are better...
2014:
Malachi Dupre: 22.7 avg - 5 TD
Josh Reynolds: 16.2 avg - 13 TD
Treadwell: 13.2 avg - 5 TD
Keep in mind Dupre missed 5 games to Treadwell's 4. And was a true freshman last year.

I'll give Treadwell his due. He was highly recruited and has lived up to the hype. He is big and strong and his short pass receptions were pretty much equivalent to a run game for Ole Miss. His injury hurt Ole Miss bad. He is the real deal. Tunsil is the real deal. Kmemdiche(sp?) however, is a different overrated story.

Treadwell got mad hype bro, mad hype. Damarkus Lodge is the best WR in Mississippi though.

Stats don't tell the story. If you watch him play you will understand the hype.

Those other two were in their first year of D1, meanwhile Treadwell been trifling for too long.

Treadwell generally does a really good job of going up and getting the ball at its high point and is pretty agile for his size. He's a really good receiver and that's why he gets the hype.

I'm not denying this. Deserved as well. He is a great player. Doesn't mean Dupree isn't a great player. Treadwell was also the only real threat at receiver in that offense, with a very hot and cold QB, no running game, and no real desire for a deep passing scheme. He was underutilized more than anything else.
