Cam was unreal. Coaches have put programs together, but there hasn’t been a more electrifying player than Cam Newton.

So, so dumb. LSU absolutely shut down Manziel in both games they played. Cam was never shut down by anyone.

I’d put Cam Newton #1 and Derrick Henry #2. Both were men among boys and could not be stopped.

What makes football so exciting. Stud player comes along, carries a team on his back & fun to watch opposing defense attempt to contain him 4 quarters.

Imagine had he not been a knucklehead and stayed at Florida with the talent they have.

Agreed. Newton was freak among freaks. That Malzahn offense also confused alot of people.

Mike Dyer was pretty good too.

Tyrann Mathieu. And in my opinion it’s not even close. Cam was the best QB for sure.

Jackson, Walker, Manning, Newton, JFF (my favorite but probably not really top 5).

Derrick Thomas late in his career was unfreaking believable, but this a QB/RB thing only I suppose.

Well your opinion is wrong.

I love Ty, probably my favorite Tiger to ever watch. But I would’ve traded Tyrann for Cam in a heartbeat. And if you switch Tyrann with Cam for the two years Tyrann played for us, LSU has two additional national titles.

Simply no.

Not to take anything away from Cam, but he didn't have the mental acuity to run an offense. He was simply bigger, faster and stronger than everyone else, much like Bron Bron. Johnny Manziel was a toothpick under center making defenses look like fools with his scrambling ability. Tebow was a bona fide leader of men. Who made everyone around him better.

Cardale Jones (Bama fans remember him) was cut out of the same mold. A DE playing QB that nobody could get on the ground. Once they take enough hits to nullify their scrambling ability they can't survive in the big leagues. Cam has not been the same since Von Miller cleaned his clock in the Super Bowl. (Same could be said for Manziel as well but his scrambling in college was true skill and not just running people over)

Cam's best trait was the ability to troll.

Also I am admittedly biased and will never admit to Cam being the best.

Agree. If Bama has Cam they don't lose last year. If UGA has Cam they never lose to Bama in natty or SECCG. If LSU has Cam, Nick would have quit.

Yep! Cam got a career assistant named Gene a natty.
Chizik is actually 1 of my favorites in analyzing a game or team.
