You realize he got over 20 last year, despite playing like absolute dogshit against MSU, UK, and Missouri, right?

He was a top 5 SEC QB against 75% of the schedule (and bottom 2 against the other 25%).

Well its all fun n games til someone loses a finger. We can revisit this in December. Remember that stats from SECCG count.

11-1 is my prediction and that one loss may be at USC or Mizzou. We have beaten LSU 2 out of the past three years.

Just looked at the schedule and I have to change my answer.

Last year he got 5 vs CH Southern and played longer than needed because it was the opener. That's not the case this year.

He'll open at home v. Miami. I'll go ahead and give him 2 TDs.

He has some stat padders in Towson and Tenn-Martin. I'll give him 8 combined for those.

Now, unless he takes a pretty large step forward he stays true to form and averages less than 2 TDs in the rest of his games that season.

That puts him somewhere between 23 and 27 TDs. So let's make the prediction 25, which is still an improvement over 2018.

Yes more than 30 if you add in his 6 pick 6's. We taking 2 to the house.

He should be close but with the poor OL he could run more and possibly get injured. If he stays health he should have around 28 passing TDs.

They won't.

Missouri seems to have our number, though, and they shouldn't be bad, so that one worries me a bit.

Those are legitimate points. I just think Florida has turned the corner and will be a very tough team from here on out. I don't think they are as good as us, right now, but I do believe they are as good as everybody else not named UGA, Alabama, LSU and maybe A&M. I think they have passed Auburn, though.
This is such a back-handed compliment

And Georgia. he was pretty bad against us, too. He didn't play very well against LSU, either.

Those figures probably need to be revised.

It wasn't meant to be. I mean, look at the results from the past two years. Look at the recruiting the last 3 years. Florida shouldn't be on our level yet....or LSU,s or Alabama. Maybe A&M, but it is hard to say.

Do you honestly believe Florida is on par with Alabama, Georgia or LSU right now? A&M, as I said...maybe. But they came as far along as Florida did last year and seem to be recruiting better. i also think Jimbo is a better overall coach than Mullen.

I know this measurement is somewhat flawed but Florida is one of the more talented teams in the whole country

LINK

I don’t think they can hang with Alabama but they have proven repeatedly they can hang with LSU.

Georgia idk.

I’ll sell, but it is possible if Florida struggles to establish a run game.

I’ll say he goes 28 TD’s 12 INT’s on the year including bowl game.

No argument here. They had a great year last year, and seem to be on the upswing.

This is true and an excellent point.

We will know more this year. The motivation is there. I know Florida wants to resume their dominance. We'l have to see. This would be the year to win, for sure.

I had not seen the link you shared, but it appears to back up what I said about Alabama, Georgia and LSU being the better teams.....as a whole. Obviously it takes more than recruiting rankings to make it a reality, but Florida is definitely an excellent team.
