Its very simple math....we play the florida state college for women every year home & home we play a neutral site game with UGA and the SEC mandated an 8 game SEC slate...this happened when we played an 11 game schedule and we could not make $$ if we didn't have enough home games. Simple and the naw jersey college @ coral gables brings zip to the table.
When the canes play in the Swamp...we have to disinfect and spray the seats with anti grease cleaner.
If Neuter Dame is highly ranked, there is the possibility that they would play in the Orange and bring a lot of catholic tv viewers with them. They have to be rated just 1 spot within the first place acc team that isn't CFP bound (Clemson) and could easily supplant Va Tech. $$$$$$ is what makes decisions. Florida brings a lot of tv viewers also, more than UGA who would be competing for the berth instead of having to play in cold Dallas area in the Cotton. Once UGA is trounced by LSU we could be ranked higher. We would get revenge on them by having them play against a G5 team like Memphis..that would be great!!!
Big d is a lamb...sure you let him in on the dawg board and I haven't attacked you Porter...so don't push the subject. Im not like Big d....Im a lion.

I love talking about college football...but this IS a board named Gator Sports Board

Jawja has denied MANY requests to join their board. Don't need clutter here. Porter is already here and he and Straws can have their back n forth. But already Porter has stretch the limits of a gracious guest. Make some of his comments on the dawg board see how long you last.
Yes, this is Chatfield's first year playing (was in several games last year but kept r/s intact).

Some folks think the yellow school bus drops off ready to play SEC football types at the entrance to Ben Hill.
Give Mizzou credit...their defense was legit, but their offense was not. Its dreary in Mizzou and the background landscape of their stadium looks like a cow pasture. Fans sit too far away from the playing field to really make it hostile to visitors.

The 11th ranked Gators came a calling and the attendance was announced as 57,000?

I predicted 11-1 also and was wrong about UGA. Folks need to stop the whining about the coaches. We still have one more game and with a bowl game...finish 11-2.

The biggest problem we had all year was the OL, it was a lot worse than I thought it would be. Yesterday we played several frosh on the line....and I think we see a few new faces in 2020. # 61 Heggie played like toad slime....almost like he just landed from Pluto and was placed on a football field. Several players just were lazy and watched our QB, RB, WR fly runners being chased down. They are getting free education, board and use the training table to feed their faces. You cant do much now...Hevesy knows he has sewer rats he is trying to mold into Cheshire cats. We now have a lot of frosh who have been practicing weekly and gaining strength and knowledge about college football # 101. The future is bright, we will sign 3 or 4 more OL for the class of 2020.

The defense will again be the backbone next year. I think it will be much better overall. We will still be hard for opponents to run on and team speed will be lethal. Lets temper everything...enjoy a good bowl game and look forward to the LOI day and spring game.
We won this game with defense pure and simple...making Mizzou punt 9 or 10 times and holding them to just two FGs.
Next up: the girls school! War Dann Eagle!!
Lets hope redshirts Marks and Weston turn out to be the real goods...we definitely lose a chunk of WRs for this year. Im glad to see Jacob Copeland turn out well after a r/s and he can be a star soon.

I think we will have key players recruited for the 2020 class that will be the building block for the future. The main thing is getting them developed.

Bogle is also about 6'4" and height is good to have playing the front line. Diamate is about 6'3". We might see a TE move to defense, Zipperer is the right size and don't forget one of the best pass rushers the Gators ever had was Wilbur Marshall...who came to UF as a TE and was quickly converted.

If you never saw Wilbur...just look up You Tube video of him against USCw when they were highly ranked...he made QB Sean Salisbury miserable all day long.
Oh great Porter-Peter, now you've jinxed us...he will be Cam Newton incarnated....throw for 225 and run for a buck seventy five on us :spank:
I hope its orange helmuts...white jersey & blue pants? Don't think as a road team we can use blue pants...?? I know one thing, Mizzou is awful looking with those dark colors.

I spelled his name on the roster I listed...Diabate Mohamoud and there are many spellings to Mohamed as my liver specialist/surgeon is named. Yes, Im on the transplant list and got good news today that meld score has gone up quite a bit...so might be missing in action before long.

My Mohamed was born in Egypt I believe and there are many other names spelled differently and is popular because of a holy name.

Yes, Brandon Cox is one of who I refer to and Diabate is also another player with speed who could be used to chase QBs
I think if we stop and realize how few schollys we had on the team ready to play its amazing what Mullen has done in 2019.

If we lose it will be more of the same...fire this coach, fire that coach...till the kneejerk heals.

Well, pass rushers get all the media attention...but the inside guys are coming back and that's good news. Moon is a proven commodity as a pass rusher, we may see a young player step in and be that guy who is hell bent on getting to the QB. Several players may end up as pass rushers that started as OLBs.
Anything below 65 degrees is cold to cold to me. Screw 40 degree temps.

I will have thick blanket wrapped around me as I watch the watch the game....hell...it might be in the 50s here. Caught a really bad bug last weekend getting wet. Perfect weather, 35 mph wind, raining and miserable.
Ok....I was involved in several fishing tournaments over the past few weeks....now season is over.

What gets me is this is a CBS game at 12noon and they will show AU vs UGA at 3:30 ?????? WTF. I doubt seriously that our game will be only 3.5 hrs if both teams throw the ball around.

Well we wont be playing against the backup QB this Saturday and we need to go to como with a burning desire to rip their tiger skin off and take those stripes home with us.
