He should take a large step forward. His jump last year under Mullen was MASSIVE. He went from easily the worst QB in the SEC to middle of the pack.
I'd expect similar growth year two. You can trash Mullen all you want, but his QB development has been as good as anyone in CFB.
Franks issues have always been mental. If Dan fixes those, he should be a very good QB. Add in he has a deep receiving core to make it a lot easier to find open targets.

Only in OOC play.

Not sure i would totally agree with this or disagree.
Fitzgerald had a great sophomore year, no doubt, but regressed his junior year under Mullen.
Prescott, on the other hand showed steady improvement over his 4 year career with Mullen. I honestly am not all that familiar with his other QB's, but looking down the list of QB's at Mississippi State had while Mullen was there, I don't see any other QB besides Prescott that was drafted.
Maybe is a QB guru, or maybe he struck gold with Prescott, but Fitzgerald definitely regressed his junior year.
Maybe Franks will get better, maybe he will get worse. We'll have to wait and see...but I think it is not a foregone conclusion that we will see "similar growth" as last year.

Good WR's make it easier on a QB, but a suspect Oline makes it much harder. franks problems seem to stem from his panicking when pressured, and a bad OLine is not going to help with that.
I know some (all) Gator fans are going to be offended by what i just wrote, but if you check into what I wrote I think you would have to agree.

I think he will. 24 for Florida and 6 for other teams. Go Feleipe!

Rag, does 27-19 sound familiar to you? How about 16-10? Now Franks didn't play in 2016. But in 2018 I watched YOUR QB go color blind and I think he is still getting sacked in his dreams.

To summarize those three paragraphs of mush.........
No really guys, he doesn’t suck THAT much anymore.

Sell, more like 30 interceptions

I think he has a better chance of being deported tbh.

Obviously from last year but no doubt you guys have players and thanks for confirming what I've been saying repeatedly. Mullen did indeed inherit a talented team.It wasn't close to the injury and suspension laden '17 team.

I think the statements are overall fair.
I just know the QB competition, really isn't this year. Mullen seems to be very confident in Franks. I think he knows enough about QB's to feel comfortable if he does.
He really grew the last few games. Our Oline isn't going to be awful, these guys aren't just green with no experience. It won't be as good as last year, but the S&C program and coaching is vastly better than it was previous years. So I think we will be decent on the line, but have some issues with really good pass rushers and really good front sevens for sure.

Buy. He only plays 3 defenses all year

In the east it’s a buy for me

Probably because they were awful ooc teams

Are you counting the ones he throws to the other team?
Posted on 6/8/19 at 8:40 pm to LouisvilleKat
To be fair I joked about INTs but I think he only had like 6 last year.

I’ll buy it, plenty of room to stat pad on that schedule
Posted on 6/9/19 at 5:27 pm to Snaxnstuff
Exactly, and Mullen is just the type to do it

Running that mouth saying TDs to other teams... Just wondering if you want to add your team to that?
Yes I would. If you arse is scared then stop talking sh*t.
