So have UGA and Alabama? The point is that it's been consistently lows for us because of mismanagement and incompetence at the administrative level. Tennessee's ceiling is the same as any other Big 6 school.

I think you should expect a minimum of 7-8 wins, a 10 win season every 5-6 years, an SEC Championship every 10 years or so and an NC every 50 or so years. What you are happy with is up to you. That’s UT football history in a nutshell.

If Butch Jones could develop talent like he could recruit. He would have three national championships by now.
Butch had no problem recruiting talent. He had no idea how to develop it. Then he surrounded himself with incompetent assistants.

This is bullshite. He was a terrible recruiter who struck gold on some loaded in state/legacy classes. The 2016 class had Marquez Calloway and not a damn thing else and 2017 had Josh Palmer and Trey Smith and a bunch of complete duds. And Trey was coming no matter who the coach was. And these were the classes we got off those 9 win seasons. The veil had been lifted, he had been found out.

Newsflash, before 2005 that was everyone's history in a nutshell. We got bad at just the wrong time, but if Pete Carroll never leaves USCw, Kiffin has us in the SECCG in 2010 and who knows what the next 5 years would have looked like as outside of 2012 the East was wide open.

I'm gonna say this really slow for you because I guess Smokey's trolling has traumatized you so much you have brain scarring.
A decade is equal to ten years. Now if I said something happened in the last decade, if it wasn't ten years ago, it wasn't a decade ago. If I talk about something that happened in 2004, that would be almost two decades ago. But not two decades ago. Now 1997 was almost three decades(30 years) ago.
Event happens in 1998. Time passes and its now the 2000's. We are into a new decade. some more time passes and now we are in 2007. That event was last decade, but not a decade ago. Now its 2013 and we are in a new decade. We are in the second decade since the event. Now it's 2022, and we are in the third decade since that event.
