Not to discredit a win in that environment, because it’s big, but just disappointed that Bama has accepted that we’re not going to have a disruptive defensive line. We’re average there and have been for years now. And all that “experience” in the backfield was toast yesterday…seen this movie before.

I gotta be honest, South Carolina is not as bad as last years team.

UGA has a hell of a team this year and SC is still trying to find itself. All three games I have seen progress except for the O-line. I think if they can tighten things up in the secondary, get the O-line blocking better, and get Zeb to replace his uniform with a polo and headset SC could pull a decent season out of its arse.

We’re a good team with a potentially elite front 7. Too many holes right now to be a legit national title contender, IMO.

Our RG is absolute donkey shite, we can’t get a consistent run game going, and our DBs are really going to struggle with speedy, fast twitch receivers. I think we could potentially go 11-1, but I don’t think we beat UF and, if we make it to the SECCG, I’m doubtful we beat Bama or Ole Miss. Another NYE 6 bowl, which is a good season, but I have not seen UGA play at a level that makes me say “Yep, this could finally be the year”.

LSU...
with all due respect to the SC, A&M, UGA fans complaining about their offensive line, WE have the worst line in the conference.
3 games into the season, our starting RB runs for 4 yds against Central Michigan.
Speaking of running backs, I get loyalty to upperclassmen, but if Kiner isn't the starter going forward, we may as well go empty backfield.

Looks like a couple freshman WRs are emerging (Bech, Smith), which was desperately needed. If we can get 3 good, consistent WRs on the field, this team will at least be able to score on teams.

Defense, still not completely sold. D Line sure looks strong, but we've played a bunch of nobodies. Linebackers appear to be progressing to "average", which is a huge improvement. Safeties still making big mistakes.

Looking at LSU objectively, I see 6-8 wins, maybe 9 if we can pull things together and no more injuries.

Based on the transitive property, we would comfortably beat Oklahoma by 45 points

Well lets do brutally honest. KJ Jefferson still has some over throw issues (with some dropped passes to help things along) but he's about where you want a young QB to be and he has a cannon on him.

Hornsby has OMG speed but his decision making still needs work.

Our defense flies to the ball and other than a big run where their QB broke containment we shut Ga. Southern down. We do continue to let WRs get separation on us and that is going to bite us in the butt unless we get it fixed. I suspect that A&M is going to hit some big pass plays on us even though their QB is likely to get roughed up.

Of particular concern is we still get some atrociously D-U-M dumb penalties. You are going to get some during the course of a game... but we keep getting them over and over again. Its going to cost us sooner or later.

Other than that... our running game continues to be very solid. We have some real threats in the passing game. Our defense is playing with intensity. Considering what Chad left for Pittman I am thrilled with where we are in the rebuild. With the schedule we are playing Arkansas could easily wind up with only 6 wins or so and still be an incredibly dangerous team. Not the schedule to pick up a ton of easy wins.

Defense—Best and deepest front four in the SEC

LBs—Play without any discipline. Can’t fill the proper gaps, over pursue and lose track of TEs on pass plays

Corners—two best in the SEC

Safeties —See comment about LBs. Play without discipline. Refuse to consistently cover their quarter /third or half in deep zone drops. Burns is an improvement over Harris

Kicker —beat in the league
Punter —average

OL—older guys continue to struggle. Hill and Dellinger look good. Will be interesting to see if younger guys take over.

Revivers —Deepest Grouo in the league. If you double Boutte the others will make you pay. All are second and first year guys.

Backs—Kiner and Godwinare legit. Their vision and talent make up for poor OL blocking. Price absolutely has to have a hole to make anything happen. Struggles with poor blocking.

QB —Nuss is legit. Johnson looks a lot better three games into the season. He grabbed his nuts and is finally throwing deep balls into one v one situations. He still needs to take what the defense gives him , but getting quicker with his decisions.

TE -Kole is getting better. Bech is a mismatch for any LB or Safety in the league.

Coaches need to get into a better rhythm on offense. Defense —honestly they haven’t dialed up many blitzes bc the front four is so talented. They need to figure out who is willing to play discipline ball at LB.

Our corners aren’t nearly as good as last year. Raw talent that hopefully develops before it costs us a game

I thought the same thing watching this game. I think it may be some of both. That being said, I think we would have trouble beating either right now.

Purely coincidentally, I'm sure, it started when golden boy was hired

LSU-Energy definitely improved, but that could have been due to the fast start. Need to see how they react when an opponent punches back. Are they good, or will they fold like against UCLA?

Running game is still a concern as they had less than 40 rushing yards going into the 4th when CMU got tired.

Passing game and pass protection showed improvement.

Defense played better, but the busted coverages are very concerning. Guys are not just getting open on these, they’re left all alone with half the field to look at.

Defense-No pass rush, missed tackles, got gashed at the line of scrimmage, gave up the 6 yard pass repeatedly, yet still won the game for us with the pick 6.

Offense- O-line got beat at the line of scrimmage, Levis made poor reads, questionable play calling, poor effort all around. Worst effort from O-line since the Joker was here.

Special teams - found a new punter. Probably the best performing unit.

A repeat of this performance against any SEC team will be a blowout.

Kirby needs to leave the offense to the OC and quit meddling. Swapping out QBs at odd times destroys the tempo of the offense.
Running inside all game instead of toss sweeps and outside runs are not what our run game is best at.
Defense is excellent except deep passes test our young safeties.

Boutte is the best in the SEC. the rest are meh.

LEU fans ladies and gentlemen.

They think they have 3 of the best position groups in the SEC when in reality that team is dog shite.

Honestly our defense is world class but our offense needs all the help in the world.

We went from one of the best passing attacks to one of the best rushing attacks in a year…just insane. We have issues still but overall the team looked like a strong contender vs the premier program. If we can figure out the QB situation this team can compete with and beat anyone this year. But we have to figure out the passing game. Who knows the solution at this point. We assume Richardson but he isn’t tested yet vs real competition so hard to just assume it.

We finally showed some effort and intensity. LSU could actually be a decent football team if they show that fight throughout the season.
I honestly see us as 7-5, maybe 6-6. SEC play is going to expose us. Badly.

Hoping for the best. Expecting the worst.
