Deboer isn’t a douchebag and seems like a legit good guy.

And he has had several big wins unlike Kelly.

I just don’t think he is the right guy for bama but bk is significant downgrade vs Deboer.

Brian kelly was a wino. Seriously only time I saw him smile while at lsu was on that special when they showed him at home and he asked his guests if they wanted him to open another bottle.

Brian Kelly was 5-2 in his first 7 games. What is LK?

Do you want to bet on LK's record vs Pete Golding's record when the first one leaves their current school?

It is funny but BK did not get fired for having a bad winning percentage. He got fired cause he didnt win the big games and he fought with the fans

He got fired because he was getting progressively worse each year AND saying the fans/media were entitled for calling him out on it

Kelly had several big wins, too. He just had a lot of embarrassing losses to go along with those big wins

This is why he got fired. If he was remotely endearing to the fanbase, y'all would've kept him for one more year before departing. Instead, he went after the fans instead of taking ownership. Anyone would get fired for that

The truth is, he probably was burn out and didnt want to even coach anymore

Deboer actually cares about it though.

Kelly had basically delegated everything on his plate to someone else.

Deboer lives and dies by each play. I can at least respect that.

It's the difference between a guy who is still young and hungry and BK, who was burned out and ready to enjoy his millions. If LSU had gotten a BK in his early 50s like Deboer, it probably goes different

After seeing Kelly up close, I just don't agree. Although, your point about hunger and age are legit.

I really believe that there's nothing there when it comes to Kelly.

No, more comparing the massive gap in disparity between the two.

The gap is basically 4 ranking spots, not that big when you consider DeBoer inherited a semifinal team and BK inherited a 6-7 team.

You moved them so far away I can’t even see the goal posts in this thread.

OP was a comparison of records for 2 coaches that under achieved (one that still is). Then somehow you brought up money. Now you are bringing up which losses were worse.
Focus real hard and try to stay on task.

You should compare Kelly to Kiffin, just so you know what is in your future

Kelly took over a .500 program. Deboer took over a top 3 program in college football.
