Stewart Mandel Tweet

What a bombshell. A likely first team All-American on the No. 2 team in the country provided his teammate a gun that became a murder weapon.

And then his coach Nate Oats had the gall to call it "wrong place, wrong time!"
LINK

Others:

“There’s nothing we could charge him with” is a matter of law. It’s completely separate and different from Oats saying “wrong place at the wrong time,” which again, is insane considering Miller’s involvement.

Responding to a text at 1:30ish am to bring a gun to a teammate on the strip and then doing so. That gun then becomes a murder weapon a few moments later and people are calling this “wrong place, wrong time” and a “nothing burger.”

Exactly what I've been saying. Nate's had plenty of time to get his message straight since he knew this day was coming.

What type of person is Darius Miles? Would most people classify him as a thug before the murder? That to me would be even more reason to know if Brandon Miller knew what the purpose of the loaded gun was for whether in a legal sense or morally.

Wrong place, wrong time is definitely an interesting choice of words. How about just say the kid was a complete dumbass at least?

He could be charged as an accessory, but probable just get sued.

In addition to Miller, prosecutors said Tuesday in court that Alabama freshman guard Jaden Bradley was also present at the scene of the Jan. 15 shooting. Bradley has started 18 games for Alabama this season and ranks fourth on the team in scoring 7.9 points per game.

Oats really fumbled that one. Should have just said he's cooperated and we do not anticipate any legal action.

Brandon made some really poor decisions that night and is very lucky his life isn't over. When someone asks you to give them their gun at 1 AM after a night of drinking there should be no other reaction than "No". Maybe even more so if they try and make it sound like they're "under threat" as Miles was supposedly implying.

I said it earlier, the national media is going to roast the Bama administration and Oats.

I’m just here for the Bama justifications. It isn’t disappointing so far.

Wow. The Tuscaloosa DA is going to come under fire if what you posted is true and supported by evidence.

So he not only brought the murder weapon but he also setup a roadblock so the victim couldn't leave?

Bama athletes strike again.

Honestly, that sounds like setting up for an ambush. That definitely shows some intent there.

I know for Nate Oats it is just him being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm sure for this girl's family, him bringing the murder weapon is more than that. Sad to see all of this.

Yep. The media will want answers. The officials down there are going to come under heat and have to answer a lot of questions.

I don't understand how blocking the escape of a murder victim doesn't result in any sort of charges.

This was a really idiotic decision by Miller.

The statement from Oats has to be one of the most mind boggling things a coach has said in relation to his players being involved in a murder.

How in the hell does Miller get a pass if his car was blocking in the victims car while they went and fetched the murder weapon from his vehicle?

Regardless, Miller is about to be lit up in civil court as soon as the criminal proceedings have come to conclusion.
