Unless Miller knew of Miles intent with the gun then there is no crime there

It sounds like Miles made Miller think Miles was in trouble and needed his gun to protect himself so Brandon brought it to him

Correct. And if Miller wasn’t a basketball superstar, he would be charged and prosecuted and the DA would let his defense attorney make the case he didn’t know and the evidence is lacking.

If Miller was a backup player, he would already be suspended. “Wrong place/time Oats” would not take a chance here.

Seems like a REC coverup.

I’m not going to pretend to know the law or anything to be outraged but Oats’ statement on it is kind of wild

quote:

“We knew about that. Can’t control everything everybody does outside of practice. Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn’t been in any type of trouble nor is he in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time,” Oats said.

Wrong spot at the wrong time?? What?? It’s not like he just happened to be there. Everybody involved made decisions to involve themselves in it

Arms dealing operation? WOW I have never seen such a dramatic jump to conclusion like this before.. I know you and every other fan base in the SEC love everything negative about Alabama, but come on bro.. One college athlete decides to do something incredibly stupid and shoot a firearm and ends up taking a life.. You clowns who are fans of other schools could careless about the victim or her family and say dumb things like Nate Oats is running a arms dealing operation. Simply because Alabama has spanked you in football for the last decade plus? You people are sad!

With now knowing that Miller brought his teammate the gun. Are you allowed to play ignorant with why someone would want their gun all of a sudden?

Yes. Still the prosecutions job to prove you knew. It doesn’t appear police or DA has any interest in making that case. Which seems a bit unusual to me.
