Age doesn't matter insofar as this goes. The kid seems incorrigible. Only one way to fix that and that way will be very unpleasant for him. Hard lessons have to be learned the hard way by some people no matter the age.

This kid needs to go to frick-me-in-the-arse jail for a significant period of time. But before then, he needs to have his arse beaten without prejudice.

Too many of our children are entitled snowflakes these days. This one is particularly bad because he's a spoiled, privileged mess who has no concept of personal responsibility. He needs to pay a price and his parents need to pay a price, and it needs to be done in a manner that sets an example going forward. Does anyone doubt that this kid would still be on the streets if he didn't come from an affluent family?

Bond needs to be revoked and his arse tossed in a youth detention center until trial. He’s proven himself a danger to the community

It baffles me that this is still ongoing. The article says that he was under the influence of marijuana, so that's a DWI. His license should have been suspended.

When he got caught speeding again, he should have been arrested for driving with a suspended license. Then before he could bond out on that a judge should have reviewed that he was out bond for manslaughter already.

Someone needs to take this POS off the street. WTF has happened to crime and punishment in our country? I mean, it would make sense if this happened in a liberal state like NY or Cali that coddles criminals. Really hard to understand this happening in Alabama.

In this case I think everyone was hesitant to derail a kid's life over what might be stupidity/accident. Now it looks more like a pattern, and hopefully they'll react accordingly.

But you are right on Alabama law and order lately. The guy who killed Aniah Blanchard was out on bond for 2 counts of armed robbery, 2 counts of 1st degree kidnapping and attempted murder.

What the frick Montgomery?

They or he or her are the real culprits here as they cannot deny knowing what garbage he is. It's incredible that they would allow this turd out on the streets driving an auto. He's guilty of at least manslaughter and someone else is guilty as well.

Lawyers in this forum. Can that be brought up a trial? My assumption is that it cannot, but can be brought up during sentencing.

Not sure about Alabama but in Texas charges not related to the offense being tried can only be admitted in the punishment phase. Since Taylor is a juvenile I imagine he will never be incarcerated for the crime.

With Auburn being a small town and all, I’m surprised this kid and the family haven’t been run out on a rail. That’s just inexcusable behavior.

No accountability at all these days, a mistake is speeding or shoplifting a candy bar when you are ten years old. Killing someone with a vehicle due to your ignorance and reckless behavior is not a mistake that is a choice, he choose to smoke that shite and be stupid behind the wheel. There must be punishment and must be accountability. Young people these days are taught none. During the Obama administration in Broward and Miami-Dade County a policy was created to not penalize high school students when they committed a felony on school grounds, instead smack them on the hand and let them get away with it. That kind of thinking is a danger to society as there are no consequences for actions, no punishment for severe wrong doing and it must stop. You commit a felony you must suffer punishment otherwise you are perpetuating the behaivor of the young felon and putting the rest of us at risk allowing them to think they can get away with anything. Jail them all, you do crime you should be punished , simple as that

Alabama’s implied consent law (which penalizes drivers administratively with an automatic suspension if they refuse a breath or blood sample) only applies to alcohol. He may have also consented to begin with. Doesn’t matter.

The license suspension will have to follow a conviction.

Exactly.

Crazy thing is, if he was selling drugs (which is much less severe than a DUI in which you killed a person) he'd probably have gotten some time already.

I said when it happened that it was a tragic event and that the kid just made a mistake.

However, with this shite coming out, lock the little fricker up. He obviously hasn’t learned from his mistakes and the fact he is doing the same shite that killed 2 people is fricking pathetic.

frick his piece of shite parents too.

Seriously how is it even possible that this kid is still free, much less how does he still have a driver's license.

This is actually somewhat mindblowing to the point of it being disturbing.

Something is wrong with our system.
