Good lord....after killing two people? He’s got a screw loose. Put him in jail before he kills again.

Someone that went to Auburn said he was the grandson of the J&M Bookstore people, hence the first name being Johnston. If true, I assume he's an entitled little shite that's never had to take responsibility for his actions.

I understand kids make mistakes and judgment errors, but this punk obviously has no remorse and hasn’t learned anything. I’m not a lawyer but this should be a violation of his bail. He should be in jail for a long time.

I heard the same, initially but never saw that confirmed or denied again.

Danger to the community. Let him sit in jail until his homicide trial.

I've always assumed his license was revoked. After vehicular manslaughter & three traffic violations, he's still driving? It's very apparent the people's voice needs to make it to the state legislature.

Time to rape this kid’s social media accounts. Destroy his chances of working at McDonald’s. Maybe get after his parents. Endlessly harass them.

Can that be brought up a trial?

Probably not. But as you said it might in the penalty phase if prosecutors can show the judge a pattern of being willfully reckless and thus not showing remorse for his actions and that he has a high level of offending again and thus is a danger to the community.

His lawyer is the same POS defending that ex-cop from Hoover that murdered his wife a little over a week ago.

I guess he likes pieces of shite clients.

Not sure about grandson, but he does come from that family. Wife is friends with his cousins, aunts and uncles. He was in a wedding we attended about a decade ago. Good family, but not sure what is going on in his head.

Just asked the wife. I think he's the grandson of the original Johnston's sister. It's a big family.

As someone who knows the Johnston family really well, this is a lie. There are 2 brothers that own J&M Bookstore. The oldest grandson between the 2 of them isn’t in kindergarten yet.

Also, there’s nothing entitled about any of the Johnston children as they’re one of the hardest working families I know.

The kid seems incorrigible. Only one way to fix that and that way will be very unpleasant for him. Hard lessons have to be learned the hard way by some people no matter the age.

Yep. You nailed it. Some states even adopted an incorrigibility law just for specific cases like this. You are correct. Those lessons are going to need to be taught to him. He won’t like it, but if he’s a psychopath, he’s also not going to change, no matter how many negative punishments he suffers. There’s an old adage from the Eskimos in the North Pacific/ Aleutian Islands. Where generations abound walking on the ice for feast and livelihood, the souls with cold stares and thankless hearts and minds are saved for icy graves to stave off the lineage from moral blindness.

This can't be true. J&M had been around since 1953.

That very well may be true. But his actions have all the earmarks of someone who is entitled and has the social stigma of affluenza. That Texas teen who was high and drunk and drove into a family of five and killing all of them. His mom fawned all over him, paying for his bail. The little bastard never should have even been able to get bail. But he did come from money. That’s why I always said that the only difference between a white collar criminal and a street thug is what side of the tracks they are from. Their mentalities are the same. Viewing people as objects or easy marks to be taken advantage of. The Wall Street criminal is actually more dangerous to the stability of our democracy. The street thug is more dangerous to our daily lives in the immediate future. But you get enough psychopaths in powerful positions, and the world will burn while they light their cigars from the flames

There are dozens of Johnstons, Pughs, etc. around Auburn that have done nothing but be contributing members of society. Kid is for sure fricking up his life with these decisions, but he comes from a damn good family. These peeps are not a family who thinks they're above anyone.

His bad choices are his.
